Even Trump-supporters have wondered about Trump's tweets implying that MSNBC's Joe Scarborough had something to do with a young intern's death in his office when he was still a Florida congressman.

It's true that Scarborough and his co-host and wife Mika Brzezinksi have spent three years accusing Trump of treasonous collusion with the Russians, but Trump's venom still seemed strange.

I, however, don't think it was strange at all.  Trump is one of the most calculating, rational people ever to occupy the White House.

So Trump set a trap.  On Tuesday (5/26), the Twitter mouse took the bait.

There have been several great columns on the debate over mask-wearing in public.  Scott McKay at American Spectator explains why the mask is essentially useless:  The mask is not an adequate defense against the COVID-19 virus, gang.

The virus checks in at somewhere between 0.06 and 0.14 microns, meaning it’s too small for any commercially available mask to effectively filter it out. The pores on an N95 mask, which are the best masks you’re reasonably going to find, are 0.3 microns.

The vast, vast majority of you are not going to have N95 masks but rather cloth masks, which perform far less well.

Each day that the Obama administration fades into the past, its wrongdoings manage to wander back into the present.

After years of suppression, all sorts of strange events keep popping up to remind us of what little is left of the Obama. The list is so overwhelming and bizarre that it ensures that anything at any time can now appear.

And the result keeps reminding Americans of how corrupt were the years between 2009 and 2017 and how untruthful was the coverage of such institutionalized wrongdoing. Let us recount all the detritus of the failed Obama Presidency.

Sometimes, a good rant is all a writer can offer. Bear with me.

Last Friday morning (5/15), some 3,500 New Yorkers lined up at a Catholic church in Queens to receive free food hours before it even opened, ­according to the New York Police Department. Catholic Charities has reported a 200 percent increase in demand over the past month and a half.

By prolonging the coronavirus shutdown long after its core mission was accomplished, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio have plunged tens of thousands of New Yorkers into poverty.

It needs to end. Now.

Now the Federal Bureau of Criminality?

In the entire 2016–19 efforts to derail the Trump campaign, transition, and presidency, Hillary Clinton, Christopher Steele, and the FBI, Department of Justice, CIA, and other government bureaus have consistently sought to distort reality.

Some of our best and brightest have destroyed evidence, altered documents, lied, leaked, and pled amnesia when questioned about their reprehensible conduct. At each stage, they were aided and abetted by a compliant media.

The dissimulation over the past four years has fallen into four rough categories. Here are a few examples of each.

One has to wonder, do those on the left, including the media, actually think Joe Biden is a viable candidate for president?

Do they not realize that Nancy Pelosi is as senile as Joe?  Like Joe, she often slurs her words, suffers brain freezes mid-sentence, and spews gibberish.  The President was simply saying yesterday (5/19) what everyone can see, that “Pelosi is a sick woman. She’s got a lot of problems, a lot of mental problems.”

Biden is a lifelong corruptocrat, a known plagiarist, a pathological liar, and a truly mean and evil man.  You can catch a glimpse of just how mean in the film about Clarence Thomas; it was Biden who grilled him mercilessly during the hearings over Anita Hill's phony allegations.

Biden is a racist as well.  Pelosi is a lifelong power-mad lunatic.  They are the twin albatrosses around the neck of the Democrat Party.

It’s been a remarkably dumb week so far even for 2020. One of the highlights was watching the media hacks looking at each other and pretending they have absolutely no idea what Donald Trump is talking about when he repeatedly tweets “#OBAMAGATE.”

Remember, these are the same geniuses who are always wrong yet expect us to pay attention to their special insights into current events. Sheesh. On the upside, it’s becoming clear that we have a good shot at sending Nancy Pelosi back to Scat Francisco.

Plus, I want to intro you to an Army guy who is trying to take a swing seat away from Nancy’s bestest purple district buddy!

It was the model that shocked the world.

In mid-March, British researchers led by epidemiologist Neil Ferguson issued an alarming study that predicted 2.2 million Americans would die of COVID-19 by August without immediate, draconian measures to halt its spread.

As the virus rampaged across the country, more than 80 percent of Americans would be infected, the experts warned, causing massive shortages of hospital beds and intensive care units. Death and misery would be the new norm for months to come.

Ferguson’s computer model is responsible for the entire lockdown pandemic hysteria ever since.  Now it’s being rightly condemned as “the most devastating software mistake of all time, in terms of economic costs and lives lost.”

Hard to drink coffee and keep your mask on

Should you wear a face mask? Medical authorities have sent confusing messages.

Both the U.S. surgeon general and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention exhorted Americans not to wear masks in January and February, then reversed themselves in April. Mask wearing is now mandatory in many workplaces and public spaces, but how much good does it do?

The science is inconclusive, but probably not much. Here’s why.

It might seem overheated to say electing Joe Biden would turn America and the world over to Communist China, but is it?  Not in the slightest.

Joe, you see, realizes an elementary truth about communism as practiced in China, Russia or wherever it takes power—it exists on corruption. Corruption was and is one of the motors of communist, indeed all totalitarian, societies, second only to nepotism.

Biden already knew this in 2014 when he flew to Beijing on Air Force Two accompanied by his crack-loving, womanizing son Hunter of Burisma fame. Hunter returned with $1.5 billion investment for his BHR Equity Investment Fund Management.

And what might the Chicoms expect their ROI will be?  Especially when they’ve got how the whole deal went down on surveillance camera.

Regarding the decision of the Department of Justice to dismiss charges against General Flynn, in your recent call with your alumni, you expressed great concern:

“There is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has served one particular purpose: it has demonstrated for all to see how much the Left bends toward authoritarianism – aka fascism – while the Right fights for freedom.

From the moment Drs. Fauci and Birx (known to wags as “Midget and Scarf”) presented the president with Neil Ferguson's grossly overly alarmist computer model predicting mass death, leading them to advocate for a total shutdown of the economy, the Left's natural inclination to ruthless subjugation reared its ugly head.

So here we are, eight weeks into a national shutdown, and our petty tyrants with swelling chests are all over the place, particularly in the blue states.  It is elected Democrats, from governors to the mayors of small towns, who are giving orders like the drill sergeants they are at heart.

A former Democrat Senate staffer, according to a 2012 editorial in the Wall Street Journal, contacted an Idaho courthouse seeking the divorce records of Frank VanderSloot, who had donated $1 million to Romney’s campaign. The operative was traced to a professional opposition research shop based in Washington, D.C.

The name of the outfit? Fusion GPS.

In the response to the coronavirus pandemic, leftists see a model for the future.

“Not only will America need a massive dose of big government to get out of this crisis,” one wrote, “but we will need big, and wise, government more than ever in its aftermath.” As a conservative, I’m going to argue the opposite.

What has happened in this crisis so far is not an indicator of the future. A new era of big government in the economy is unlikely, undesirable and far from inevitable.  Here’s why this doesn’t herald a new age of big government.

Bethany Mandel, one of the editors at Ricochet, on Wednesday (5]07) shared a thread on Twitter about the Wuhan coronavirus and the need to "flatten the curve."

From the start of this pandemic, Americans were told to practice social distancing, wash their hands and stay at home as much as possible. At first we were told to do this for 15 days... then 30. Now it's beginning to seem like a never-ending cycle. Now she says, “I am done.”

It's as though these government officials fail to remember what the term "flatten the curve" means. The goal was to keep the virus from spreading as much as possible.  Bethany says “I am done” with that.

But people are out of work. Businesses are going under. People are losing their livelihoods. Millions have filed for unemployment. What they want – and need – isn't a government handout in exchange for a lockdown but the ability to go back to work.

Right now, it is the focus of the huge problemsbetween Russia and China due to the China flu virus.

The more we learn about the evils done to Michael Flynn, and they increase day by day, the more the FBI comes to resemble the KGB.

Or is it the earlier version, the NKVD, whose leader, Lavrentiy Beria, famously declared, “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.”

James Comey—the head of the FBI during this period of extraordinary moral turpitude—never said anything anywhere near that pithy or memorable, but he did Beria one better.

Comey, with then-agent Peter Strzok, didn’t just find a crime, they invented one.  So. What was really going on with what was essentially the “forced confession” of Flynn?

It’s a legitimate question. For the truth is, the media exists in name only but not in fact.  If we lived in a fair and just world, most of the current media would simply go away and try something else.

The problem is not that reporters are human and therefore sometimes err. The rub is not even that they are poorly educated or rarely write well.

The crisis instead is that they are now almost always wrong, and predictably wrong because they are lazy and biased—and they deny it to the point of self-delusion. The result is that, for all practical purposes, journalists no longer exist for the general public as sources of news.

Nowhere has the media nadir been clearer than in the case of ol’ Joe Biden from Scranton.  It’s the latest evidence the walls really are closing in on a vanishing media.

One of the Left's standard attacks on the president is that he doesn't listen to the science!  Sadly, he did listen to the so-called experts who predicted wildly hyperbolic death and destruction, and he agreed to the economic shutdown.

The president surely realizes by now that he should have operated on his gut instincts, which rarely fail him.  Dr. Fauci, for example, sees no patients.  He looks at computer models, all of which were wrong.  Dr. Birx probably has more hands-on experience, but she too recommended closing up the nation. They were both wrong.

At every press briefing on the pandemic, the scientists to whom Trump has been listening have presented their data upon which the president has relied.  But the numbers extrapolated from their models were all wrong.  And now this mass hysteria that has brought the American economy to a full stop is devastating millions and millions of Americans.

Am I the only one who finds this "surprise" an amazing coincidence when taken in conjunction with Joe Biden's declining candidacy?

Communist New York Mayor De Blasio issues another fascist edict

All my life, I have dismissed fear on the right (“America is headed to communism”) and the left (“It can happen here”—referring to fascism). It’s not that I’ve ever believed liberty was guaranteed. Being familiar with history and a pessimist regarding the human condition, I never believed that.

But the ease with which police state tactics have been employed and the equal ease with which most Americans have accepted them have been breathtaking.

People will argue that a temporary police state has been justified because of the allegedly unique threat to life posed by the new coronavirus. I do not believe the data will bear that out. Regardless, let us at least agree that we are closer to a police state than ever in American history.

We are presently living with all four of the key hallmarks of a police state.  Here they are.

Plans for a new Baltic–Black Sea waterway, passing through Ukraine, Belarus and Poland, have the potential to revolutionize the geopolitics of Europe’s East as well as exacerbate East-West tensions.

The transit project would not only help the economies of all three participating countries and their neighbors.  It would also promote trilateral cooperation on other issues, including security, and make each one of them more attractive partners for the West.

Not surprisingly, such prospects are gaining support in the US and part of the EU but generating ever more opposition in Moscow. Russia rightfully views E40 as a threat to its influence in the region and even, according to some analysts, as an existential threat to Russia itself.
