ROY MOORE IS GOING TO WIN

Judge Roy Moore

Judge Roy Moore

The decision of Senate leaders to have the Senate Ethics Committee “investigate” the charge of sexual harassment against Sen. Al Franken is a blunder for which the good guys should make the bad guys pay dearly.

What’s to investigate? The photo (taken by Al’s brother) proves beyond a shadow of a doubt he felt up Leeanne Tweeden while she was sleeping. Franken admitted it, though he claims it was just innocent fun.

All there is to decide is if feeling up a sleeping woman is an offense grave enough to warrant expulsion from the Senate.

If it isn’t, the hypocrisy with regard to the treatment of Roy Moore is glaringly obvious.

If it is, the fact McConnell et al think the charge against Franken should be investigated before any action is taken against him offers Moore a clear line of attack/defense. Either way, Moore wins.

SILENCE ON SLEAZE-BOB MENENDEZ

bobsbabesI pronounce Democrat leaders, left-wing feminists and Beltway journalists guilty of gross negligence and hypocrisy over a dirty rotten sleazeball in their midst.

For the past 11 weeks, Bob Menendez has been on trial for 18 counts of bribery, fraud and corruption involving nearly $1 million in gifts and donations. The jury remained deadlocked as of today (11/16).

A new Media Research Center analysis reported that ABC, CBS and NBC devoted 40 times more of their morning and evening TV newscast coverage this past week to Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore's alleged sexual assault accusers than to the ongoing federal trial of one of the Democrats' most powerful, visible and entrenched figures on Capitol Hill.

Four years ago, when the FBI raided the Florida home of creepy Democrat donor and eye doctor Salomon Melgen, Menendez suddenly remembered that he had failed to pay back his "hermano" $60,000 for private-jet flights to the Caribbean -- where Melgen owns a tony home in the private Casa de Campo resort.

As government investigators discovered, the "friendship" entailed much more than backslaps and beach nights. Melgen was convicted this spring on 67 counts of massive Medicare fraud totaling $90 million.

Prosecutors allege Menendez and his staff pulled strings and put pressure on public officials to back off Melgen's billing blow-up. And that’s just one example of how sleazy Sleaze-Bob is.

A YEAR OF FRENZY AND MADNESS

The Left today is ruled by the goddesses of madness, frenzy, and rage

The Left today is ruled by the goddesses of madness, frenzy, and rage

America is in another of its Salem moments. Frenzy is almost a living, breathing monster. It moves from host to host, fueled by rumor, gossip, and self-righteous furor.

The Greeks knew well of the transitory nature of these mass panics. They claimed such fits were inspired by the Maniae, the three daughters of Night who were the goddesses of insanity, rage, and crazed frenzy. We’ve seen all three of them in action throughout the past year.

Let’s review the tragic series of madnesses with which America has been plagued since last November.

WHY ANY FRIEND OF ISRAEL MUST SUPPORT TRUMP

friends-of-israel-support-trumpPresident Trump's Middle East policy is simple: Back our friends and scare the hell out of our enemies, and negotiate where possible with our competitors like Russia and China.

By and large it's working, unlike the catastrophically failed policies of the previous two administrations. Trump did what he said he would do and succeeded. You wouldn't know that from the #fakenews media.

Both George W. Bush and Obama tied up Israel’s hands, sandbagging her against her enemies – Obama in particular, while Hillary would have been disastrously worse.

So let’s review why anyone who claims to be a friend of Israel must support Trump against the alternative. One can criticize Trump all day with justification, but the existential issue of Israel's survival requires Jews to support him. Jewish never-Trumpers are infected with what our rabbis of antiquity called "baseless hatred."

WE CANNOT AFFORD NOT TO CUT TAXES

can-we-afford-tax-cutThe folks in Washington have a knack for almost always asking the wrong question, and then coming up with an answer that makes things worse.

The current debate about tax reform is a prime example.

Many Democrat critics, some Republican critics (mainly from the conservative side), and many in the media argue that we cannot “afford” a tax cut.

In reality, we cannot afford not to cut tax rates.  Here’s why.

HALF-FULL REPORT 11/10/17

Saudi Arabia is shaking up the world. Among those most rattled are Iran, Islamist terrorists, DC swamp things, Democrats and Twitter.

The earthquake began last weekend when police arrested dozens of prominent Saudis – including 11 princes and 4 government ministers-- in an anti-corruption crackdown.

The biggest fish is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a grandson of Saudi Arabia’s founder, whose personal fortune is estimated at $17 billion.

x
Alwaleed bin Talal is a major donor to the Clinton Foundation, a client of the Podesta Group, and – bye the bye – the guy who paid Barack Obama’s tuition at Harvard.

************

The Saudis intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen at Riyadh Saturday (11/4). KSA’s foreign ministry blamed Iran, called this “an act of war.”

************

saad-haririAlso Saturday, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri resigned during a visit to Riyadh. There was a plot to kill him, Hariri said. Hariri’s father, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was murdered in 2005.

Wherever Iran settles, it sows discord, devastation and destruction,” Hariri said in a televised address from Riyadh.

Aggressions by Hezbollah are tantamount to a declaration of war against Saudi Arabia, KSA’s Gulf Affairs minister said Tuesday (11/7).

************

When will the storm winds from KSA blow into the USA? Before the next HFR, I bet.

Richard Pollock summarizes here why now it’s the Democrats who have a Russian problem.

************

Democrats won big Tuesday (11/7) in New Jersey (ho hum), and in Virginia (big deal). Ed Gillespie did worse than any GOP gubernatorial candidate in more than 30 years.

Exit polls make clear the reason for the debacle.

************

In 1979, when he was 32, Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore felt up a 14-year-old girl, the Washington Post reported yesterday (11/9).

If the allegations are true, Moore should resign. I doubt they are, for two reasons:

A DAY TO CELEBRATE

Pokhara, Nepal. One year ago today – November 9, 2016 – I was here…

pokharaThis is Lake Tilicho, the highest lake in the world at 16,200 feet in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas.  It was here, at about 11am Nepal time, 12 midnight New York time, that I learned by satellite phone that Trump had carried Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, and Iowa.

I broke down and cried, realizing that America might be saved from the Curse of Hillary after all.

This is truly a Day to Celebrate, for me personally as November 9 is my birthday, for America as at 2:30am one year ago Hillary called Trump to concede thus making him the 45th President of the United States, and for the world as World Freedom Day – the day the Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989.

A year ago yesterday, November 8, 2016, America stood on the brink of absolute disaster.  The Left would be unleashed to complete its goal of destroying America’s culture, freedom, and economy, while the Clintons’ crime spree would remain totally hidden with their criminality continuing unabated.

Yet not only have we avoided that fate, our country is getting almost unimaginably better.  Here’s what we need to celebrate today.

THE TIME FOR EXCUSES IS OVER – NOW IS THE TIME FOR STRENGTH

[This is the full text of the magnificent speech the President gave to the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea in Seoul on Tuesday November 7. Full video follows.]

Assembly Speaker Chung, distinguished members of this Assembly, ladies and gentlemen: Thank you for the extraordinary privilege to speak in this great chamber and to address your people on behalf of the people of the United States of America.

time-for-strength-s-koreaIn our short time in your country, Melania and I have been awed by its ancient and modern wonders, and we are deeply moved by the warmth of your welcome.

On this peninsula, we have watched the results of a tragic experiment in a laboratory of history. It is a tale of one people, but two Koreas.

One Korea in which the people took control of their lives and their country, and chose a future of freedom and justice, of civilization, and incredible achievement. And another Korea in which leaders imprison their people under the banner of tyranny, fascism, and oppression.

That other Korea has interpreted America’s past restraint as weakness. This would be a fatal miscalculation. This is a very different administration than the United States has had in the past.

Today, I hope I speak not only for our countries, but for all civilized nations, when I say to the North: Do not underestimate us, and do not try us. We will defend our common security, our shared prosperity, and our sacred liberty.

THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE TO TRUMP FOR AMERICA’S FUTURE

trump-grinWe are in a veritable war of competing visions. The strife inside the two parties is irrelevant—when compared to the larger existential war for the soul of America.

Like it or not, Donald Trump in fits and starts has chosen not to accommodate the progressive vision. And yet, warts and all, the Trump presidency on all fronts is all that now stands in the way of the completion of what was started in 2009.

Like it or not, Trump is now the central figure in resisting a full-scale dismantling of the idea of the uniquely individual, free, and outspoken American.

For now, the unlikely Trump is the only road bump left on the progressive expressway to a medieval world of masters and peasants with few in between.  Let’s understand why.
