COUNTRIES THAT DON’T EXIST
This is the Ossetian St. George. It’s attached to a cliff along the road from Vladikavkaz in North Ossetia to Tskhinvali in South Ossetia.
Both straddle the Caucasus Mountains between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. North Ossetia is a part of Russia -- but South Ossetia is a country that doesn’t exist.
There are, in fact, four such hidden countries in Europe – states with their own governments exercising sovereign control over the area within their borders, yet whose existence is ignored and unrecognized by the UN and almost every other country in the world.
In addition to South Ossetia, they are Abkhazia, Transnistria, and Srpska. You read about the latter two last year:
Srpska in Tectonic Europe (May 2016), and Transnistria in Where The Soviet Union Still Exists (August 2016).
Each of the Countries That Don’t Exist are uniquely fascinating – with their own history, culture, beauty, and charm. All are mysterious and unknown to the outside world.
The number of Americans who have ever heard of these countries is tiny – the number who have actually been to any one of them far tinier. Almost no one, American or anyone else, has been to all four. The Democrats have ended their unity tour more divided than ever. Unlike Republican quarrels, their war is mostly ignored by the media. And yet it will define what the Left and its plan to take over the country will look like. The Clintons are history. Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders are the leaders of the two sides in the Dem civil war. The shots are already being fired. As usual, they are coming from the insurgent Sandernistas.
Bernie embodies the Old Left. Its mantra is class warfare. There is a great deal of talk about billionaires, working people and the ruling class.
Obama pays lip service to that same rhetoric, but his is the program of the Intersectional Left. The Intersectional Left is far more interested in identity than class. It defines its organization around a coalition of racial, sexual and other minorities.
Where Bernie wants to talk to the working class, the Intersectional left wants to hear from transgender Muslim women of color. The differences aren’t just intellectual. They define the tactics and agenda of the Democrats. The Old Left wants to ‘overthrow’ the middle class and the rich. The Intersectional Left wants to ‘overthrow’ white people and heterosexuals.
That is the Bernie and Obama split in a nutshell: Obama will take money from Wall Street to fight white men. Bernie wants white men to fight Wall Street.
COMEY’S FIRING – SLOPPY BUT NECESSARY
As every Democrat and Fake News Airhead in the country has their hair on fire over President Trump firing FBI Director Comey, cooler heads are focusing on who was responsible for Trump’s decision.
That would be Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. His Memo of yesterday (5/09) to Attorney General Sessions, “Restoring Public Confidence in the FBI”, was sent to the President, upon which the decision was made.
Here are two points to consider regarding the Deputy AG. He has unquestioned integrity, and was confirmed two weeks ago by a bipartisan Senate vote of 94-6.
THIRD THOUGHTS ON COMEY
My column yesterday (5/09) on “Second Thoughts on Comey” didn’t age well. Here are my third thoughts:
- Evidently President Trump does think Comey is a putz. If so, I think that’s primarily because of his role in promoting the Steele dossier.
“FBI Director James Comey considered an anti-Trump dossier compiled by a former British intelligence officer so important that he insisted the document be included in January’s final intelligence community report on Russian meddling in the election,” Fox News reported May 6.
- Even if Comey weren’t a putz, he’d have had to go sooner or later. His name is mud with the public. Neither Democrats nor Republicans on Capitol Hill trust him. Morale at the FBI has plummeted.
I have four more – including how Trump loves gaslighting the Lying Swine. He’s done that in spades with Comey.
DIFI GIVES ME SECOND THOUGHTS ON COMEY

Perhaps the only thing most Democrats and Republicans agree on is FBI Director James Comey is a putz.
I’m not willing to go there – yet.
Look at the expression on the face of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Cal) in this CNN interview last Wednesday (5/3). Have you ever seen such sadness, despondency, dejection, despair?
DiFi is ranking Dem on the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees. On Tuesday (5/2), DiFi was at the CIA for a briefing on Russian meddling in the election. The CNN interview took place shortly after Comey’s contentious public Judiciary Committee hearing I wrote about last week.
But immediately after that public hearing, Comey also gave her and Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) a closed-door classified brief on Russian meddling, Feinstein said.
If DiFi had just learned an anvil, a safe, a locomotive was about to drop on Dems, that could explain why she looked as if someone shot her dog.
WILL SOUTH KOREA KILL OR KEEP ALIVE ITS GOLDEN GOOSE?

Seoul, South Korea. By the time you read this today (5/09), South Korea will have just elected a new president.
There will be a peaceful transfer of power, coming after the previous president was impeached for corruption, but all done in proper democratic way. Few would have bet after the end of the Korean War, more than 60 years ago, that South Korea would now be a rich, developed, democratic country.
This city of 10 million has the fourth-highest gross domestic product (GDP) of any city in the world, only being outdone by Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles.
It is both a very old city with a history going back more than 2,000 years, and a very new city. During the Korean War (1950-53) the city changed hands several times and was largely destroyed, What one sees today is almost an all new city, filled with international-style, modern glass-wall skyscrapers with at least one well over 100 stories.
From many vantages in this city, one can look out a window or stand on a high hill and look down on one people under two systems. North Korea is the ultimate consequence of socialism, which always contains the seeds of its own destruction. But can the success of capitalist South Korea last?

Why are they smiling?
Why are these people smiling? The House Pubs surrounded the President and Vice-President yesterday afternoon (5/04) for a “Rose Garden Victory Lap” after the “Obamacare Is Dead” bill passed 217-213.
But to paraphrase Yogi Berra, Obamacare is not dead until it’s dead – and it sure isn’t dead yet. As his House colleagues were in the Rose Garden yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz was saying, “Getting the health care bill out of the Senate is not going to be easy.” He is wrong. It will be impossible without a certain necessary condition.
Trouble is, the applies to the entire Trump agenda. That said, there’s good news – like Trump’s cool EO’s, why the coolest guy in the Cabinet is T-Tex, that the Hero of the Week is a Moslem lady, that the Loser of the Week is Mrs. Zero, and how the London Daily Mail went ga-ga over Melania.
We also feature the Worst Trump Joke Ever – which you’ll tell to your every friend – and we close with the most famous scene from the most beloved movie ever made. It makes you cry as it portrays a heroic patriotism of a country that may never have it again.
CINCO DE RIDICULOSO
Might as well start the day off right:
And with the story of the American at a bar in Mexico City. After a couple of Dos Equis with the locals, he asks them, “Amigos, there’s something I don’t understand – I love Mexico, it’s beautiful, full of natural resources, people work hard, so why is Mexico so poor?”
One of the locals smirks and says, “Why that’s easy – it’s because you gringos stole half our land.” The American takes a tug on his beer and says, “Really?” The local responds, “Yes, and what’s worse – you gringos stole the half with all the paved roads!”
Today, Cinco de Mayo, is a phony tradition, a joke on los gringos, then exploited as a marketing gimmick by Mexican restaurant chains as an excuse for us to get wasted on Jose Cuervo.
So at TTP, our tradition on May 5th is to explain la verdad, the truth, so you’ll understand why today should be called Cinco de Ridiculoso.
Which is, to begin with: Nobody in Mexico cares about May 5th. Only we, us gringos, pretend to. For if you ask just about any reveler at the nearest Pancho Villa’s Cantina or some such Mexican-themed bar anywhere in the US, just what is being celebrated on May 5th, you’ll get either a blank stare or "It’s their July 4th " ignorance.
So first the true history of Mexico. You’ll learn more about Mexico’s history in ten minutes than you ever did in school or anywhere else.
Then the reality today — the horrific truth of how treasonous Dem fascists and their useful idiot Rino masochists are using Mexico to destroy their own country.
HOW TO END THE LEFT’S COMPULSION TO RUIN EVERYTHING
May Day. For thousands of years, Western cultures have had a Festival of Happiness at this time of year, a joyful celebration of the end of winter and the onset of summer.
When I was growing up, my sisters would always get up early the morning of every May 1st to scour our backyard and the neighborhood gathering flowers, which they would leave in a May Basket at our front door for Mom, our Queen of May.
Families for generations have done this all over America, towns for generations have had a May Day Festival of Happiness. Why would anyone want to ruin this, turn a time of joy and flowers into a time of anger, hate, and rage?
The headlines of this morning (5/02) are abundant, such as: May Day Carnage: Havoc across Europe as Protestors Clash with Police in Violent Scenes and May Day Protests Spark Riots, Arrests Across Country.
Why is it so hard – so impossible – for the Left to be happy? Why are Lefties always filled with destructive anger? And why do they pick the most innocent fun-filled-for-millennia day of the year to vent that bottomless rage?
Answering the last question is the easiest: It’s precisely because May Day is the most innocent fun-filled-for-millennia day of the year.
Well, it turns out there’s a specific cause for the Left’s pathologies – and a surprisingly simple antidote.
