A CYBER FIRST STRIKE

What makes Stuxnet so unique and powerful is the way it has been put together. Infection is accomplished by inserting a host USB drive into a computer and or through networks.

The code is so intricate and professionally packaged that is compartmentalized into encrypted sections., and parts of the executables are written in different programming languages.

What this means is that is that it was created, most likely by a team of coding professionals that might be one of our first examples of cyber warfare. Most of the attacks have taken place in Iran.

It is not clear if the other parts Iran’s nuclear program have been affected by this, however it is possible that this is only the beginning.

It would be naïve for the mullahs to believe that this is all that can be done. Imagine if their financial structure was brought to its knees? Imagine if their meager infrastructure stopped all together?

We have heard many doomsday scenarios regarding our vulnerabilities and it is time for our enemies to understand that the pendulum swings both ways.

A NEWS MEDIA BLACK OUT

I bet you haven’t heard of Tim Scott, Allen West, or Ryan Frazier.  If they were Democrats, I might lose that bet.

But they’re not.  Mr. Scott, Mr. West, and Mr. Frazier are three of the 14 blacks who are running for Congress as Republicans this November.  Thirty two black Republicans ran in the primaries.

If all three win, that would be a post-Reconstruction record.  The largest number of black Republicans to serve together in the House in the last century is two, J.C. Watts (Oklahoma) and Gary Franks (Connecticut) between 1995 and 1997.  There haven’t been any since Mr. Watts retired in 2003.

One might think the resurgence of black Republicans, coming as it does at a time when a black Democrat is president, would rate a feature story or two in the national media.  But that would conflict with the liberal meme that Republicans are racist.

STANDING UP TO CHINA

Singapore.  Let's first talk about money, the Chicoms and ours.  We have heroes of humanity pictured, like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Benjamin Franklin.  On every denomination of theirs, they picture the greatest mass murderer (as listed in Guinness) in human history. chicom_yuan.jpg Mao was a monster like Stalin and Hitler who laughed his way through the deaths of tens of millions from his man-made famines, being tortured to death in his  Laogai - the Chinese Gulag in which millions languish to this day - or shot like this peasant woman for being "counter-revolutionary": chicom_murder.jpg Stare hard at this picture.  This happened to countless Chinese.  This is the image that should come to all of our minds whenever we hear any story or news item about Red China.  For it's still Red, and always will be until it removes the most evil human being who ever lived off its money - and apologizes to the world for his existence. Which is why China's truculent demand that Japan apologize for seizing a Chinese fishing boat and arresting its captain for poaching in Japanese waters, after the boat rammed a Japanese Navy patrol vessel is so ludicrous - yet no laughing matter to all of China's neighbors.

DEATH WISH DEMOCRATS

Rarely do you see a political party in the process of what appears to be a deliberate attempt to commit suicide while shooting a hostage. In this case, the hostage is the U.S. economy, and the political party is the Democrats.

For the first time, Congress has not even passed a budget. The open question remains: Is the current Congress the worst in American history?

The Republicans have the facts on their side about which party taxes and spends less. The Democrats have successfully been blaming Mr. Bush for the big spending increases and deficits of the last two years of his administration while conveniently forgetting they were in charge of Congress - taxing, spending and deficits. The Republicans need to make people aware that the last budget they were responsible for (2007) had a deficit of just 1.2 percent of GDP. The supersized deficits of the past few years - approaching 10 percent of GDP - happened only after the Democrats took control of Congress. The Democrats have a death wish - the Republicans should help them along in their desire for defeat by making the American people aware of the real deficit facts.

ISRAELI LEFT CHOOSES PRE-EMPTIVE DOOM

Beginning around 2006, the Left began threatening that if Israel does not remove itself from Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, the US will abandon us. On Sunday night, former prime minister Ehud Olmert presented this argument in his keynote speech before the Geneva Initiative's annual conference.

If Israel does not withdraw from the territoires occupied after the 1967 war, its cities will remain secure and its population will not be in crisis. But Israel will have to contend with a hostile US government threatening to take unknown steps to force it to contract to within indefensible borders.

What will those US threats involve? Washington is already arming and training a Palestinian army. It is already selling the Arabs the most advanced weapons in the US arsenal. It is already providing military assistance to the Hizbullah-controlled Lebanese army. It is already permitting Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Would Olmert and his leftist colleagues have us believe that the US military will invade Israel to force us to exit Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem?

If that is what the Left is hinting, let us assume it is right. But if the Left is right, is Israel better off preemptively dooming itself to chronic wars and strategic vulnerability by accepting indefensible borders than by refusing to do so? At least if we refuse to stick our neck in the noose, the US government will be forced to make the case for destroying Israel to the American people.

THE JOKE’S ON CONGRESS

There were two noteworthy hearings last Friday (9/24) on what was otherwise a slow news day in Washington D.C.

Comedian Stephen Colbert testified before a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing on migrant farm workers as a character he plays on his television show.

A former head of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department told the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights that Justice is refusing to prosecute cases of intimidation of white voters, or of vote fraud.

Journalists flocked to cover Mr. Colbert’s testimony, but largely ignored that of the Justice Department whistleblower, Christopher Coates.

PEEKING BEHIND THE “HIRE ACT” CURTAIN

The HIRE ACT is a law passed by congress earlier this year to create jobs. The original idea on paper has been tweaked by labor unions and large construction companies to create revenue streams, using the newly created W-11 form from the IRS.

The specifics of the law can be found below, however sometimes reality is different than it seems. Here is how it is actually is being implemented, by some unions and construction companies.

HALF-FULL REPORT 09/24/10

We'll begin this week's HFR with a missive from the master, now safely out of Norkland and in the green hills of Laos.  Jack Wheeler has found some Democrats we can trust.  They are, alas, in Sweden.   It turns out that neither Gen. Stanley McChrystal nor any of his senior aides made the anonymous comments to a reporter from Rolling Stone that got the general fired earlier this year.  That’s according to an Army investigation the New York Times reported on Wednesday.   I hope Sharron Angle defeats Harry Reid in Nevada.  But if Harry does lose, I’ll miss him when he’s gone.   According to an alleged White House insider, Barack Obama doesn’t like his job and isn’t doing it very well.

WHO LOST TURKEY?

You have to hand it to Turkey's Islamist leaders. They sure know how to get their way. In the seven years since they first took power, the Islamist AKP party has successfully transformed Turkey from a staunch ally of the US and Israel and a member of NATO into a staunch ally of Iran and a member of NATO.

And that's not all. Turkey's Islamist leaders have used the Western language of democracy and freedom not only to abandon the West. They have used that language to destroy the foundations of Turkey's Western-style secular democracy and transform the governing system of NATO's sole Muslim member into a hybrid of Putinist autocracy and Iranian theocracy.

READING AMERICA WRONG

In a democracy, it is rarely good politics to describe those upon whose votes your power depends as religious bigots and racists.

According to the Court party, those Americans -- more than two thirds of us, according to the polls -- who oppose construction of a mosque near Ground Zero are motivated chiefly by religious bigotry.

But if it’s religious bigotry that fuels opposition to the Ground Zero mosque, why do most Muslims worldwide object to its construction?

The Court party drips with disdain for less privileged countrymen.  According to New York Times columnist Frank Rich, Atlanta Journal Constitution editorial page editor Cynthia Tucker and other such worthies, disapproval of President Obama is motivated chiefly by racism.  It’s their opinion Americans didn’t notice Barack Obama was black until he proposed Obamacare.

The Court party has a lot to say now, because it holds most political offices, and controls most media organizations.  The Country party will speak Nov. 2.
