Relax. Calm yourselves. Things are going lots better than President Trump’s enemies – and some who claim to be his friends – say they are.

Read and watch President Trump’s speech to the UN General Assembly yesterday (9/19), up on To The Point today. No president before him has told so many truths so directly to pompous jerks who needed to hear them. This president didn’t kiss ass. He kicked it.

His UN speech is the clearest statement of MAGA Mr. Trump has yet made. This is not a president who has “flipped” to Democrats, or is being bamboozled by them.

Nor is this a president who is intimidated by, or being drugged by “globalists” on the White House staff.

This is a president who is clearly in charge, who knows what he wants to do, is doing it.

Mr. Trump revels in deal making, which involves give and take. The key to success is to give up what is unimportant to you to get things you really want.

If Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller were wearing waders and carrying a rod and reel, he couldn’t signal more clearly he’s on a fishing expedition. Every lawyer on his staff contributed to Dems. He’s said to be looking into things that have nothing to do with the election, employing Gestapo tactics.

Meanwhile, Robert Wray was confirmed as FBI director Aug. 1. I haven’t heard a peep from him since. Perhaps he’s still hanging pictures in his office, finding his way to the rest room and the cafeteria. I’m pretty sure he’s doing something. But I’ve no idea what it is.

Many conservatives want Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired, because he hasn’t indicted Hillary or fired Mueller yet. I think haven’t figured out the Trump-Sessions feud was theater; that the president wouldn’t have gone through that charade without some purpose in mind.

Which is why this is a request for patience.

The Prince and the POTUS

Things change. But if change isn’t punctuated by dramatic events, we tend to be slow the grasp its significance.

Consider how differently Americans regarded Germany and Japan in 1961 than in 1945.

The changes in the Middle East in the 16 years since 9/11 are almost as profound as were the changes in Germany and Japan between 1945 and 1961. But because they weren’t ushered in by the atomic bomb, we haven’t paid as much attention to them.

I’ve regarded Saudi Arabia as our most dangerous enemy in the Middle East, because the Saudi royal family financed Wahhabi madrassas and mosques all over the world, Wahhabism/Salafism is the source of Sunni Islamist terror.

Yet, suddenly, that’s all changed now, due to a set of extraordinary circumstances that both a Saudi Prince affectionately known as MbS and a new American President understand and are cooperating on.  Here’s the story of the Prince and the POTUS.

It seems as if whenever Jack Wheeler asks me to fill in on the HFR (he’s in Kaliningrad), we have a tumultuous week.

We may look back upon it as the week in which Democrats, the Lying Swine, PC corporate fascists and the GOPe completely lost their minds.

Those whom President Trump would destroy, he first makes mad.

Key events since last week’s HFR were:

*The riot in Boston Saturday (8/19).

*The collision Monday (8/21) of the USS John S. McCain, a guided missile destroyer, with a freighter off the coast of Singapore. (This is a bigger deal than most Americans realize.)

*President Trump’s address to the nation Monday night announcing a new strategy in Afghanistan.

*The president’s speech to a huge crowd at a rally in Phoenix Wednesday (8/23) and the rioting afterwards.

*Hurricane Harvey striking Texas last night. (Who is more to blame for it? President Trump? Nazis? Confederates?)

Nazis are bad.  The KKK is bad.

Way more than 99 percent of Americans agree.  People who embrace Nazism or KKK racism are a tiny fraction of our people.  The Anti-Defamation League puts the KKK membership at some 3,000 – 1,000th of 1%.

But Leftists assert President Trump and his supporters are closet Nazis. This is pathological guilt by association, Alinsky hypocrisy on steroids. The world of Orwell’s 1984 exists in Charlottesville.

So it’s critically important now to remember:  The Left always projects.  They always smear their opponents of being what they are, proponents of fascist thuggery.

The entire chorus of the Left, from fascist Antifa thugs to every Lying Swine journo is screaming that James Fields’ “terrorism” proves that every white person in America is a crypto-racist-terrorist.

Here’s a question: If Fields had shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he mowed down pedestrians, would anyone in the MSM call what he did “terror?”  Would there be multiple stories worrying about the danger of Whiteophobia with headlines “White-Americans Fear Backlash After Charlottesville”?  Like the PBS headline of June 15, 2016: “Muslim-Americans Fear Backlash After Orlando Mass Shooting.”

North Korea threatens to attack Guam with nuclear weapons. So Democrats and the Lying Swine attack… President Trump.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” the president said Tuesday (8/8). “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.”

That was “bombast,” a “rhetorical grenade,” said the Washington Post in an editorial.  The president “went rogue” with his “bellicose language,” said ABC News.  Trump’s “reckless rhetoric” increases tensions, said Senate Democrat leader  Chuck Schumer.

Yet President Clinton used starker language in 1993 to describe what would happen if North Korea used a nuclear weapon.

“It would mean the end of their country as they know it,” Clinton said.

The difference between what Clinton said then and what Trump said this week is this president really means it.  And he’s making very sure the Chinese know it.

Be skeptical of everything you read about chaos and dissension in the administration.  Remember the Lying Swine report only negative things about Trump, often make them up.

The Lying Swine expect discord, because they think they’re smart, Trump isn’t.  Trump takes advantage of their bias, expectations and egos by giving them rabbits to chase. All warfare is deception.

It isn’t just leftists who chase rabbits. The fundamental “fact” on which the charge McMaster is plotting a coup is false.  Here’s why.

Sen. John McCain’s gigantic eff you to Donald Trump ultimately may benefit the president.

Senate Democrats were giddy when Maverick and nominal Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska joined all 48 of them to block even modest changes to Obamacare.

McCain is the greatest senator since…Ted Kennedy, said Democrat leader Chuck Schumer.

Since so few study history, I doubt many Dems know what a “Pyrrhic victory” is. They may find out.

Here’s why.  And here’s why McCain is going to be dead soon.

Two days after being appointed White House Director of Communications, Anthony Scaramucci appeared on the political talk shows on CBS, CNN and Fox News this Sunday (7/23).   “Mooch” was impressive.

Smart, confident, articulate, quick on his feet, Mooch treats the Lying Swine with the contempt they deserve.  Just look at how he handled a BBC interviewer on the White House lawn yesterday (7/26):

Mooch shouldn’t be caught in a lie, or engage in gross hyperbole. But you and I shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that Trump, and others in the White House, routinely deceive the news media.

The Lying Swine lie constantly about Trump, so this isn’t immoral, and it’s good strategy. The president realizes he’s in a war, recognizes who are his main enemies, is following Sun Tzu’s advice to defeat them: All war is deception.

Trump’s enemies assume they’re smart, he isn’t. It’s exactly the opposite – so much so the president takes advantage of their assumption.  From which arises the question:  Is Trump Sun Tzu-ing the media on Jeff Sessions?

You should be ashamed of having published “The President Can Be Put On Tilt” on June 9. Even cash-strapped conservative journals of opinion should have editors and fact checkers.

Let’s walk through Michael Brendan Dougherty’s farrago of snark and nonsense.

According to Dougherty, “The very fact of the hearing was an unforced disaster for the president.” Even Chris Matthews figured out the opposite is true.

According to Dougherty, “The Saudis seem to have played Trump like a fiddle. Their cartoonish flattery of Trump seems to have led him to tweet angrily against the latest enemy of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, even though Qatar has been hosting the American military for 15 years”.

Qatar is the leading financier of Islamist terror, their banker, a “safe place” where terrorists wanted in other countries can relax in luxury.

I was a Marine, a Green Beret, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force. Nothing is more important to me than the security of the United States. Nothing ticks me off more than twerps like Dougherty who side with America’s enemies for domestic political reasons.

Soon you’ll be safer from Islamic terror in the Middle East than in Europe.

Something wonderful I never thought I’d live long enough to see is happening: For most Sunni Muslims, the Dar al Harb is no more.

The Koran divides the world between the Dar al Islam (zone of peace), and the Dar al Harb (zone of war). War is to continue until all submit to Allah.

Since May 21st, however, peoples of other faiths no longer are to be regarded as “infidels” to be killed, conquered, or treated as second-class citizens (dhimmis), the leaders of nearly all Sunni majority countries declared during President Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

What you are about to read will astound you.  For example -- watch this – it will blow you away.  It certainly blew away the terrorist:

The New York Times recycled from March Wednesday (5/17) a false story intended to inflame Trump/Russia hysteria.

“Trump Team Knew Flynn Was Under Investigation Before He Came to the White House,” the headline said.

“In a letter dated Nov. 30, the Justice Department notified Mr. Flynn that it was scrutinizing his lobbying work,” the Times said.

Flynn was appointed National Security Adviser Nov. 17.  How, might one ask, does Nov. 30 come before Nov. 17?

To see how low the “mainstream” media have sunk, let’s unpack the New York Times story from the day before (5/16) that may have led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel.

“President Trump asked (FBI Director James Comey) to shut down the federal investigation into Mr. Trump’s former national security adviser… according to a memo Mr. Comey wrote shortly after the meeting,” wrote reporter Michael Schmidt.

Schmidt never saw the memo.  As you can see in the video clip above, MSNBC’s Brian Williams asks Schmidt, “Why is it that the (New York) Times has the story but not the memo?”  Schmidt’s answer: "Someone that had seen them recounted details to me..."

Yep, the motto of the illustrious New York Times is now “All the news that’s fit to fake.” So here’s a suggestion of what to do about it.

There was a time, not so long ago, when Democrats and journalists denounced guilt by association.

Here’s an example from the 1950s: Screenwriter A is a Communist. Screenwriter B is a friend of Screenwriter A. Therefore, Screenwriter B is a Communist too.

There were Communists in the State Department, Sen. Joseph McCarthy charged, changing the number from speech to speech.  He offered no evidence to support his innuendo.

The great irony, of course, is that in McCarthy’s day, the State Department was riddled with traitors – just like today.  Yet McCarthy was destroyed politically for his evidence-free accusations.

McCarthyites were thus laughed at for seeing Commies under their beds.   Democrats are modern-day McCarthyites who see Russians under their’s.  The great irony here is that while, however incompetently, McCarthyites of the 50s were trying to expose treason, Democrat McCarthyites of today are committing it.. 

My column yesterday (5/09) on “Second Thoughts on Comey” didn’t age well. Here are my third thoughts:

1. Evidently President Trump does think Comey is a putz. If so, I think that’s primarily because of his role in promoting the Steele dossier.

“FBI Director James Comey considered an anti-Trump dossier compiled by a former British intelligence officer so important that he insisted the document be included in January’s final intelligence community report on Russian meddling in the election,” Fox News reported May 6.

2. Even if Comey weren’t a putz, he’d have had to go sooner or later. His name is mud with the public. Neither Democrats nor Republicans on Capitol Hill trust him. Morale at the FBI has plummeted.

I have four more – including how Trump loves gaslighting the Lying Swine.  He’s done that in spades with Comey.

DiFi in despair

Perhaps the only thing most Democrats and Republicans agree on is FBI Director James Comey is a putz.

I’m not willing to go there – yet.

Look at the expression on the face of Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Cal) in this CNN interview last Wednesday (5/3). Have you ever seen such sadness, despondency, dejection, despair?

DiFi is ranking Dem on the Senate Judiciary and Intelligence Committees. On Tuesday (5/2), DiFi was at the CIA for a briefing on Russian meddling in the election. The CNN interview took place shortly after Comey’s contentious public Judiciary Committee hearing I wrote about last week.

But immediately after that public hearing, Comey also gave her and Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) a closed-door classified brief on Russian meddling, Feinstein said.

If DiFi had just learned an anvil, a safe, a locomotive was about to drop on Dems, that could explain why she looked as if someone shot her dog.

He was helping to bring down President Trump, “Buzzfeed Ben” Smith thought when he published the Steele dossier Jan. 11.

Instead, he may have sealed the doom of FBI Director James Comey.

Vladimir Putin began plotting to make Mr. Trump president more than five years ago, claims the dossier compiled by former MI-6 officer Christopher Steele. It consists of 17 reports allegedly made between June 20 and Dec. 13 last year.

Parts of the dossier began circulating in Washington last July. Senior U.S. intelligence officials gave President Obama and President-elect Trump a two-page synopsis of the allegations in it when both were briefed on Russian meddling in the election, CNN reported Jan. 10.

That prompted Buzzfeed Ben to publish all 35 pages of the dossier – a blunder of epic proportions.

Innuendo-rich stories implying Mr. Trump was in Putin’s pocket could be justified by oblique references to the Steele dossier – the Washington Post, for instance, has mentioned it 150 times to date -- but only so long as the dossier itself was kept in the shadows.

Once those knowledgeable could read it, the jig was up.

“Garbage,” said one former CIA officer. “A rather ham-handed attempt at fabricating a document,” said another. “Hokey as Hell,” said a third.

“It is hard to believe how anyone who claims to know anything about intelligence operations, propaganda and disinformation would believe anything in it,” said a former senior National Security Council staffer.

Anyone in the National Security Division of the FBI who didn’t realize immediately the Steele dossier is a clumsy fraud has no business being in the National Security Division of the FBI.  Any FBI Director suckered by the fraud has no business being FBI Director.

Abroad, Abu Ivanka al Amriki is loved by America’s friends, feared by our enemies.

But at home, Donald Trump is the Rodney Dangerfield of presidents. He “don’t get no respect” from critics Left and Right, or from many who claim to be his strongest supporters.

Critics on the left and right assume they’re smart, Mr. Trump isn’t. They should rethink that.

So as a carrier task force steams toward North Korea, Topic A in the “mainstream” and conservative media is whether Steve Bannon is on his way out in favor of Jared Kushner.

Thus I wonder if the Bannon/Kushner feud might be a ruse to gaslight the Lying Swine. While they’re running down rabbit holes, the president quietly is doing important things.

(Note:  “Gaslighting” is manipulating people’s sense of reality to their detriment.  It comes from the 1944 film Gaslight starring Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer.)

Arabs and Israelis Agree

Across the Arab world, reports the London Telegraph, people have found a new hero.  They call him Abu Ivanka Al-Amriki. 

Israelis too are hailing him as their new hero.  They call him President Donald Trump.  Abu Ivanka Al-Amriki, you see, is Arabic for “The Father of Ivanka The American.”

"Maybe you in the West hate Trump, but he has already done far more for us than Obama," said Najim Hassan, who lives in the Syrian city of Idlib that Assad nerve-gassed, to a Telegraph reporter. "We love him because he does more than he says, he's a man of action and at least he gives us something to hope for."

Which brings us to this question:

Ever hear of the Islamic Military Alliance Against Terror?  IMAAT was formed in December 2015, the brainchild of Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, with 34 Moslem countries joining. 

Last December in response to Trump’s election, Oman – a holdout due to IMAAT targeting the terrorist mullahs of Iran with which it has good relations – joined.

You may not have heard of that either, since all of this is being ignored by the American news media.  That’s their mistake. Before I explain why, ponder these facts:

“Tearful Syrians cheer U.S. missile raid,” said the London Daily Mail, which has some great pictures.

“I’ll name my son Donald,” said Qusai Zakarya, who survived a chemical attack in 2013.

“President Trump just put an end to the Obama era of vacillation and cowardice,” said former Army intelligence officer Ralph Peters.

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee will recuse himself from the Russia investigation. This seems like a mighty big scalp for Dems. But a former flack for Hillary freaked when she learned who will replace him.

Dems use the appearance of impropriety to divert attention from actual impropriety. But now Devin Nunes will have more time to investigate Obama administration spying on political opponents.

He’ll have to nuke the filibuster to do it. That’s what Mitch plans to do. Even Susan Collins, R-ME, is on board.

He’ll soon cut federal funds to “sanctuary cities,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday (3/28). DOJ will dole out $4 billion in grants this year.

More than 300 cities, counties and states forbid cops from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). They’ve protected more than 17,000 criminal aliens.

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has offered to testify about Mr. Trump’s connections to Russia in exchange for full immunity.

The FBI is investigating Russian meddling in our election, including “whether there was any coordination” between the Trump campaign and Russia, Director James Comey said at a public hearing of the House Intelligence Committee Monday (3/20).

There is no evidence to date Russian meddling affected the outcome of the election, or that anyone in the Trump campaign colluded with the Russkies, Comey admitted.

The Russians were more interested in messing with the U.S. and with Hillary than in trying to elect Trump, whom they didn’t think could win, Comey said.

Two questions.  Why is he then testifying at all?  Why indeed is this Obama holdover still running the FBI?

As the dust settles a week after President Trump accused former President Obama of spying on him, it’s clear:

The president’s tweets shifted the focus from “Are Trump and Sessions in bed with the Russians?” to “Did Obama spy on Trump?

When the attorney general flipped the special prosecutor meme on Democrats, we got an indication of how profound the shift has been:

Congress now will investigate Russian meddling in our election, AND surveillance of Mr. Trump.

Since there isn’t evidence Russian meddling affected the outcome of the election, or that the Trump campaign collaborated with the Russkies, the president can only benefit from having Congress spell that out.

Is all this because the President got lucky after a reckless tweet?  Let’s ask famed polar explorer Roald Amundsen.

In these tweets early Saturday (3/4), President Trump declared nuclear war on former President Obama.

“Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower,” the president said. “This is Nixon/Watergate.

It isn’t true, and he deserved it, said “senior intelligence officials” and Democrats. CNN and MSNBC anchors who breathlessly reported both didn’t seem to notice these claims are mutually contradictory.

Louise Mensch of HeatStreet reported last October a FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) warrant had been issued for a server in Trump Tower. The Guardian reported it Jan. 11. Former U.S. Attorney Andy McCarthy commented on it that day.

Mr. Obama didn’t know about the FISA warrant, said spokesmen Kevin Lewis and Ben Rhodes.

Do you think the FBI would eavesdrop on the Trump campaign without informing the president? Do you believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

President Trump is an acquired taste. After Tuesday’s boffo address to a joint session of Congress, millions more are acquiring it.

It was the first time the president’s words have risen to the level of his deeds. I loved even the parts announcing policies I don’t like, because they are superb politics.  How superb?  Just look at Shell-Shocked Pelosi to see how.

I’m awed by how well Team Trump staged the event. They anticipated what the Dems and the Lying Swine were likely to do, and sandbagged them.  One example:

By inviting victims of violent crime perpetrated by illegal immigrant felons – especially Jamiel Shaw Sr., father of a black teenager murdered by an illegal immigrant gang member -- Trump made those Dems who made illegal immigrants their guests look as petty and small as in fact they are.

And did you hear Democrats groan when the president announced plans to highlight illegal immigrant crime?

In a snarky tweet Sunday (2/19), Bill Kristol asked of conservatives who are “rationalizing” Donald Trump’s presidency: “In your heart, don’t you know you’re wrong?”

“Actually, Bill, some of us think there is more to the man than his outlandish comments, e.g. his cabinet, his regulatory moves, legislative agenda,” responded Brit Hume, the best news anchor in my lifetime.

Amen, Brit.  I’ve been blown away by what he’s done since winning the election.

Trump has accomplished more in the first month of his presidency than any president since Ronald Reagan. John Hawkins lists here his most significant achievements. They are all the more impressive because of the unprecedented obstruction he’s had to overcome.

Trump’s latest McMaster stroke came Monday (2/20), when he chose Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster to be his National Security Adviser.

McMaster will have the right to choose his own staff, proof The Donald can learn from his mistakes, grow in office. I love lemonade. There’s no better lemonade than Trump lemonade.

The day after Vice President Mike Pence cast the deciding vote to confirm the nomination of Betsy DeVos to be Secretary of Education, Rep. Tom Massie, R-KY, introduced a bill to abolish the Department of Education: HR899 -- To terminate the Department of Education.

There shouldn’t be a Department of Education.  But it would be a mistake to try to abolish it right now.

The Second Civil War figures to be chiefly a propaganda war.  The Lying Swine will spin, twist and distort everything we say and do, lie outright when they think they can get away with it.

Roughly two thirds of Americans don’t trust what the “mainstream” media tell them.  But because so few Americans know enough civics, history or economics to spot the BS, the Lying Swine still exert enormous influence.

So, if we try to abolish the Department of Education, the Lying Swine will bray to the moon that we want to abolish public education.  If we try to abolish the EPA, the Lying Swine will howl we want to hurt the environment.

Of course they will.  Here’s the problem: the public relations battle will be driven by their lies rather than by the substance of our arguments.  The solution?  We shouldn’t try to abolish useless government agencies.  We should gut them like a fish. 

History was made, in a bad way, this week (02/07) when Vice President Mike Pence cast the deciding vote to confirm Betsy DeVos to be Secretary of Education.

From the founding of our republic until now, both parties agreed a president should be able to choose for his Cabinet whomever he wants, unless a nominee was clearly unqualified, or there were serious character issues.  The campaign against Ms. DeVos for a minor Cabinet post was strictly for ideological or partisan reasons.

This was the most dramatic effort (so far) by Democrats and a “mainstream” news media that has shed all pretense of objectivity and fairness to try to strangle the Trump administration in its crib.  Nearly all Mr. Trump’s nominees have been opposed for no other reason than that they are Mr. Trump’s nominees.

For the first time since the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, the “Loyal Opposition” isn’t loyal.  A Second Civil War has begun.

It must be a bummer to be smugly confident you are “on the right side of history,” only to have history dump you by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and drive off with Donald Trump.

History is a record of things that happened, and how people responded to them. It’s important to study history, because if you don’t know where you’ve been, you don’t know where you are, or where you’re going.

“Progressives” obsess about making history, but put little effort into studying it. If they had, they’d realize there is precious little new ground to break. In fact, if “progressives” studied history, they wouldn’t be “progressives” at all.

Soon to be former President Barack Hussein Obama is about to learn how ephemeral his “transformational” presidency has been. He will be remembered, but not nearly as fondly as he imagines, nor for as long as he expects.

Having surpassed Jimmy Carter as the worst president in American history, Mr. Obama evidently intends to eclipse him as the worst ex-president as well.

Ever since Donald Trump’s electoral victory six weeks ago, we have seen the devastating consequences of their compulsion. Democrats have succeeded in fully infantilizing themselves.

After thousands of unhinged leftists browbeat electors from states Donald Trump won to vote for someone else, he expanded his lead over Hillary Clinton.

“Most of the pleas to reject Trump are coordinated, automated, professionally generated, and, for those reasons, none too persuasive,” noted the Associated Press.

“We got a stack of letters from idiots,” said Arizona elector Edward Robson.

“They don’t seek to understand or persuade – just to insist,” said Kansas elector Ashley McMillan Hutchinson. “As a mother of two small children, I know how to handle that.”

“When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.”

This was the justification of Osama bin Laden’s 9/11 attack on America, thinking it would demonstrate Al Qaeda was the horse for the world to follow, not that of a weak America.

He expected the U.S. to treat 9/11 as a law enforcement matter, as President Clinton had al Qaeda’s attacks on our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the USS Cole.  And indeed, that’s exactly what would have happened if his vice-president had been president in September 2001.

Thus Osama and his henchmen got the greatest shock of their lives when the American president turned out to be the opposite of a pussy like Algore.  As Osama’s 9/11 mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, told his CIA interrogator James Mitchell:

“How was I supposed to know that cowboy George Bush would announce he wanted us ‘dead or alive’ and then invade Afghanistan to hunt us down?”

For the last eight years, we’ve had a weak horse in the White House.  America will now have a president who understands, as Niccolo Machiavelli counseled a half millennium ago (in 1513), that “It is better for the prince to be feared than loved.”

“We love him for the enemies he has made,” said Edward Bragg, seconding the nomination of Grover Cleveland for president at the Democratic National Convention in 1884.

Progressives (leftie liberals with a new name disguise) breathlessly tweet updates of Hillary Clinton’s lead in the national popular vote, as if it mattered. It doesn’t.

For ProgLibs, the only legitimate elections are those they win. They show reverence for democracy by threatening with death electors who won’t vote for the loser in their states. Nothing says “LoveTrumpsHate” like mobs beating up people who supported Mr. Trump.

The abominable behavior of ProgLib Hillary supporters is one reason why Donald Trump may forge a coalition that could dominate national politics for a decade or more.

Jack Wheeler is off again to another remote and exotic place, and has asked me to fill in on the HFR.  And what a week it’s been!

After multiple credible sources reported yesterday (12/1) Donald Trump asked retired Marine General James Mattis to be his secretary of defense, and “Mad Dog” had accepted, Mr. Trump acknowledged in Cincinnati today it was true – though the formal announcement won’t be made until Monday.

Hot ziggety! This news alone is enough to fill the glass to overflowing this week.  But it’s merely the icing on the cake – the best news in a week filled with good news.

There is more good news than bad chiefly because Democrats and the Lying Swine adamantly refuse to learn lessons from Nov. 8. 

So without further ado, we bring you this week's HFR!

As classes were changing on the north campus of Ohio State University Monday morning (11/28), Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 18, drove his silver Honda into a crowd of students on the sidewalk, then jumped from his car and stabbed people with a butcher knife. Eleven were injured.

More would have been if Alan Horujko, a campus police officer who was in the area to check on a gas leak, hadn’t shot Mr. Artan dead about a minute after he began his attack.

“Once Artan jumped from the vehicle, witnesses say he lacked any focus, and ran from one person to the next attacking them, but not (thankfully) with any degree of skill,” said firearms expert Bob Owens. “Officer Horujko…saw the attack take place, and closed the distance to Artan within seconds. He ordered Artan to drop the knife, and when Artan failed to do so, he dropped him.”

We may never know why Mr. Artan attacked his fellow students, said Ohio Gov. John Kasich. The Politically Correct can’t find a clue when it spits in their face.

I’m amused by gossip breathlessly reported as news about who is being considered for key posts. As Lao Tzu said: “Those who know don’t talk. Those who talk don’t know.” We’ll find out when Mr. Trump makes an offer, and it is accepted. But there is one prospective nominee who, if he’s asked and accepts, would assuage most of my concerns about national security policy in the Trump administration.

The president-elect met last Sunday (11/20) with retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, who is being considered for secretary of defense.

“He is the real deal,” Mr. Trump said afterward. “He’s just a brilliant, wonderful man. What a career…A true general’s general.”

Affectionately known as “Mad Dog” by his troops, Marines think Gen. Mattis is the greatest Marine general ever. No other has possessed to the same degree his intelligence, knowledge of military and world history, courage, inspirational leadership, tactical skill and strategic vision.

And no other has been as willing to speak his mind. Here are some things “Mad Dog” has said that make us love him so:

Remember the redneck riots after the election in 2012? Me neither. Democrats and the “mainstream” media warn us constantly about the threat of violence from the Right. But nearly all violence that actually materializes is from the Left.

Colleges cancelled exams for students “traumatized” by the election. The University of Michigan planned to help them “cope” by providing coloring books, play doh and bubbles. Administrators at Cornell provided blankets and hot chocolate to special snowflakes holding a “cry-in.”

CBS News highlighted comments on social media that 11/9, the day it became clear Donald Trump will be the next president, is “the new 9/11.” Prominent celebrities, pundits and politicians liken Mr. Trump to Hitler. Death threats abound on social media.

Democrats and “mainstream” journalists (I repeat myself) have settled on their narrative for this election.  It has yet to dawn on the latter that they lost worse than the former on November 8.

It would have been fitting if the band at Hillary Clinton’s “victory” party had played: “The World Turned Upside Down.”

But Hillary is into making history, not learning from it. She’s the first woman to be nominated for president by a major party; the first to be nominated while being investigated by the FBI for multiple felonies, and the first senior government official to skate after gross negligence in handling the nation’s secrets.

Donald Trump won because he promised to take a sledgehammer to the smug, selfish, corrupt and inept political establishment Hillary Clinton epitomizes.

The Bureau is reopening its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails, because thousands more have been discovered on the laptop computer of Anthony Weiner, soon to be ex-husband of Hillary aide and confidante Huma Abedin, Director James Comey said in a letter to Congress Oct. 28.

In early October, agents investigating whether Mr. Weiner sent lewd texts to an underage girl found 650,000 emails on his computer, thousands to or from Ms. Abedin, according to the must read story by Wall Street Journal investigative reporter Devlin Barrett.

Republicans bashed Mr. Comey for giving Hillary a pass after acknowledging she was negligent in handling classified information and destroyed evidence.  Now Democrats hammer the FBI director for making the new probe public 12 days before the election.

Director Comey may have felt he had no choice.  Here’s why.

The election’s been rigged, he may not accept the result, Donald Trump said. He expects to lose, is making excuses for defeat in advance.

Not for the first time, a self-serving overstatement by The Donald has tainted an important issue.

Mr. Trump should accept the results of the election, said 68 percent of respondents to a Morning Consult poll Oct. 21. But 46 percent said it is at least “somewhat likely” vote fraud will be widespread.

The viability of democracy depends on the confidence people have in the integrity of the electoral process. If nearly half the electorate fears fraud will determine the outcome of this election, we totter on the brink of chaos.

If all that mattered in this election is which candidate is the most vulgar, Donald Trump would get fewer votes.

But thoughtful people who despise him will vote for Trump because the rule of law is on the ballot too.

The most dismaying – and underreported – news dribbling out of Washington in recent weeks is that under Director James Comey, the FBI is now as corrupt as the IRS and the VA.

The investigation of Hillary Clinton was a sham, the FBI’s data drops late Friday afternoons make clear. The fix was in all along.

The evidence that FBI Director James Comey is willing to destroy the legitimacy of the nation’s premier law enforcement agency to protect Mrs. Clinton from prosecution is becoming overwhelming.
