DAYLIGHT – THE STORY OF OBAMA AND ISRAEL

A few weeks ago the Obama administration put out a video extolling Obama's record on Israel. They took excerpts from speeches by Israeli leaders praising Obama and used them as proof that Israelis view Obama is a great friend of the Jewish state.  On the whole it was an obscene production. What can Benjamin Netanyahu or any other Israeli official say other than that Obama is a great friend of Israel? We have to face the dismal fact that Obama may remain in the White House until 2017. No Israeli official can afford to say openly what they think of this man.  While Israel's leaders cannot say the truth about Obama, American Jewish groups can say the truth. Unfortunately, since the majority of American Jewish leaders are more concerned about maintaining their liberal bonafides than defending Israel, the voices opposing Obama's hateful treatment of the US's most vital ally in the Middle East have emanated mainly from the underfunded margins of the American Jewish community. Here's one voice that tells the truth.

PRESIDENT VOTE FRAUD

President Barack Hussein Obama Jr.'s poll numbers are tanking.  He could be in big trouble in November. Democrats have a way to win when voters turn on them. The Justice Department struck down March 12 a Texas law that requires voters to show photo identification. Formerly segregated states are required by Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to "preclear" changes in their election laws with either the Justice Department or the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to make sure those changes don't disenfranchise voters based on ethnicity or color.  Texas has failed to demonstrate the photo ID law isn't designed to discriminate against Hispanics, said Thomas Perez, chief of the Civil Rights Division.  Mr. Perez based his charge on data which indicate 6.3 percent of registered  Hispanics -- vs. 4.3 percent of non-Hispanics -- don't have photo ID. Texas plans to provide photo IDs for free to citizens who don't have them, but Mr. Perez was not moved.

THE AFRICANIZATION OF AMERICA

Accra, Ghana.  When Britain granted Ghana full independence (the first African colony to gain it) in March of 1957, it was the richest tropical country in the world, with huge foreign currency reserves from massive sales of cocoa, coffee, gold, timber, and bauxite.  The Brits had provided the new nation with an efficient civil service, an impartial judiciary, a fair electoral system with competent elected politicians, and a prosperous middle class. Yet they allowed a man to lead Ghana who was a charismatic charlatan, an intellectual lightweight, a self-proclaimed Marxist who hated capitalism, a self-worshipping narcissist of the highest order, and a black racist who hated whites and the West.  To the surprise of no one with unblinkered vision, but to the shocked surprise and denial of every fawning liberal on the planet, he proceeded to run Ghana straight into the ground. The parallels with Zero are obvious.  That white liberal guilt is responsible for Zero is fairly well-recognized among those who are intellectually honest.  What is little understood, however, is that it is also responsible for what inevitably happens as a consequence of African Big Man government: the Africanization of that government.

THE EASY FORMULA FOR AN ECONOMIC MIRACLE

black_sea_map.png Batumi, Georgia.  This city is one of the oldest on earth, as humans lived here at least as early as the 12th century B.C. Now, it is rapidly becoming one of the most modern cities on the planet. Its setting at the eastern end of the Black Sea coast is spectacular, with orange groves and snow-covered mountains rising literally within walking distance of the beaches. While most of the high-income countries are in the process of squandering the wealth they once created, there are places on the globe that are making great progress merely by doing the right things. One of these places is the small, relatively poor country of Georgia. Ironically, Georgia, through its success, is a reminder to the United States that reversing regulatory excess and state intervention pays dividends.

PRESIDENT PINOCCHIO

As gasoline prices soar, President Barack Hussein Obama Jr.'s poll numbers fall.  The president is unwilling to change his policies, so he's cramming more lies into his speeches.  We need to start calling him President Pinocchio. At a community college in Maryland last week, the kids hooted when the president derided Republicans as  "members of the Flat Earth Society" for opposing his "investments" of taxpayer money in "green" energy. "One of my predecessors, Rutherford B. Hayes, reportedly said about the telephone, ‘It's a great invention, but who would ever want to use one?' Mr. Obama said. Hayes, who brought the first telephone and the first typewriter to the White House, never said that, fact checkers noted. "If you start hearing this ‘drill, baby drill' -- we're doing that," Mr. Obama said.  Another incredible lie.

HALF-FULL REPORT 03/16/12

A bad situation in Afghanistan got dramatically worse last weekend when a U.S. soldier in Kandahar murdered 16 Afghan civilians.  Afghan President Hamid Karzai has demanded that U.S. troops leave village outposts.  The Taliban suspended peace talks. An Afghan tried to kill Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. U.S. Marines at Camp Leatherneck were ordered to disarm before entering a tent where Panetta planned to speak to them. After surprise victories in Alabama and Mississippi Tuesday, Rick Santorum's presidential campaign is still alive. As for Newt Gingrich, the Moving Finger is now skywriting "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin." Liberal pundits were shocked by a CBS-New York Times poll Monday which showed President Obama's job approval at 41 percent, the lowest ever recorded.  The main reason is soaring gasoline prices, but the poll's internals indicate Zero's efforts to make contraception an issue have backfired. The Obama campaign issued a Web ad attacking Sarah Palin, who isn't running for anything this year. You already knew this, but now there's a scientific study to back you up.  Liberals are far less tolerant of opposing views than are regular Americans. Pennsylvania passed a voter ID law Wednesday (3/14), the 16th state to do so. In case you were sweating this, a Mayan elder says the world won't come to an end when the current Mayan calendar cycle ends December 21.

WHAT GIVES OBAMA THE RIGHT TO MURDER AMERICANS?

Attorney General Eric Holder gave a speech at the Northwestern University Law School March 5 that was remarkable both for what he had to say, and for how little attention it received.

The president has the right to order the killing of an American citizen living abroad without any judicial review, hearing or trial, provided three criteria are met, Mr. Holder said.

Mr. Holder cited no provision of the Constitution, no decision by the Supreme Court that would justify the new policy. FBI Director Robert Mueller said he wasn’t sure whether the policy wouldn’t also apply in the U.S.  Mr. Mueller’s uncertainty is understandable... and alarming, says Jonathan Turley, who teaches constitutional law at George Washington University.

“If the President cannot order the killing of a citizen in the United States, Holder can simply say so,” Prof. Turley said.

But he hasn’t.

SOLDIER MURDERS AFGHANS, GENERALS MURDER SOLDIERS

It was only a matter of time before one of our men broke down. On Sunday, March 11, just before dawn, an American staff sergeant walked away from his post in the badlands of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, went into a nearby village, and methodically murdered sixteen civilians, including women and children. This didn't happen in the confusion of a firefight amidst the "fog of war." It was the brutal act of a veteran who cracked. The deed cannot be excused. But I believe it can be explained. That staff sergeant-who turned himself in after the killings-is guilty of murder in a degree yet to be determined, but the amazing thing is how disciplined, patient and tenacious our troops have been. Given the outrageous stresses of serving repeated tours in an environment a brand-new private could recognize as hopeless (while his generals fly back and forth congratulating themselves), it's remarkable that we have not seen more and even uglier incidents.  The problem in Afghanistan isn't our troops - although craven generals routinely insist that everything is the fault of "disrespectful" soldiers - it's a leadership in and out of uniform that is bankrupt of ideas, bankrupt of ethics, bankrupt of moral courage, and rich only in self-interest and ambition.

SHARIA FOR REAL

chad_cameroon_149.jpg Famboun, Cameroon.  This is a Ndiki Drum.  It is used by the Sultan of Bamoun to call his subjects to their end-of the-year Nguon festival over which he presides.  It can be heard for miles. The carved wooden forearms and hands propped up at the drum's end are not the drumsticks.  They are symbolic for what the real drumsticks used to be.  Until the British and French put an end to the custom in the 1920s, the Ndiki drumsticks were human arms, amputated at the elbow off captured slaves.  Four drummers were needed to properly pound the drum, each requiring two drumsticks: eight amputated human arms in total. The Bamoun Sultanate was a Moslem Slave State.  It derived its power from enslaving neighboring peoples.  Amputating slaves' arms for drumsticks was one of the many ways the Sultan broke their will to resist and keep them in bondage.  It was founded by this guy:

LIBERALS TASTE BLOWBACK

Blowback is a *****.  Just ask hyper-vulgar liberal comedian Louis C. K., an unintended victim of a liberal smear campaign. Mr. C. K.'s troubles began Feb. 20 when Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, testifying at an ersatz hearing, said she was having so much sex that paying for contraception was a financial hardship, so Georgetown should be required to provide it for her. Ms. Fluke's insistence that a Catholic college subsidize her sex life was ripe for ridicule, which Rush Limbaugh did on his radio program two days later.  But when he called her a "slut," she became a victim. Then irony occurred.  The controversy has succeeded not in damaging Mr. Limbaugh, but in drawing attention to blatant liberal hypocrisy.
