“Maine’s ‘nonsectarian’ requirement for its otherwise generally available tuition assistance payments violates the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment,” Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the 6-3 majority. “Regardless of how the benefit and restriction are described, the program operates to identify and exclude otherwise eligible schools on the basis of their religious exercise. The state pays for tuition for certain students at private schools — so long as they are not religious. That is discrimination against religion.”
And yesterday (6/23) – halleluiah! – the Court delivered a big win for the Second Amendment: Supreme Court Gun Decision Shoots Down NY Rule Restricting Concealed Carry Licenses. Justice Thomas for the 6-3 majority:
“We know of no other constitutional right that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need. That is not how the First Amendment works when it comes to unpopular speech or the free exercise of religion. It is not how the Sixth Amendment works when it comes to a defendant’s right to confront the witnesses against him. And it is not how the Second Amendment works when it comes to public carry for self-defense.”
Critically, Justice Thomas specifically stated in the ruling that The 2nd Amendment Protects ‘Individual’s Right’ to Carry Gun Outside Home for Self-Defense.

In 2018, North Carolina passed a law requiring voters to “present one of ten forms of authorized photographic identification” if they wish to vote. NAACP sued saying it was racist (in effect that Blacks are too stupid to get an ID to vote like they use to drive a car – which is racist).
Because the state Dem AG couldn’t be depended upon to adequately defend the law, GOP legislators demanded to join the defense – and SCOTUS (8-1! Only the “wise Latina” dissented). A clear step in the right direct direction by the Supremes in favor of Voter Photo ID.
The remaining biggie is yet to come but it won’t be long now. If the Court sides against the greenies in West Virginia v EPA, and rules that CO2 cannot be a pollutant by federal edict, it could be a mortal blow to the entire greenie agenda.
Indeed, SCOTUS may be sounding the death knell for the entire Dem Woke Fascist Hat America agenda.

The bottom line to grasp is the cause, the source, the fundamental rationale for all of this insanity: The Democrats’ fanatical belief in their secular religion of Global Warming, aka “Climate Change.”
And this: Unless the Republican Party – from its political leadership to individual candidates running for office on every level from nation to state to county – campaigns on the rejection of Global Warming as a Marxist agenda for political power and a fraudulent science hoax, the insanity will continue.
It will take a full court press frontal assault on the Democrat’s Climate Hoax to put them on the defensive and end its intellectual respectability.
Believing that humankind’s CO2 production of 2/10ths of 1% of the Earth’s total amount of greenhouse gasses causes global warning, or believing increased CO2 causes warming rather than the other way around (as all ice core studies show over millions of years), is like believing in a Flat Earth.
We need politicians with the courage of Donald Trump, who explained at his address to the Heritage Foundation last April (4/21):

A note on Kaliningrad. Until Stalin stole it from Germany at the end of WWII, it was known as Konigsberg.
