ANCHORS AWAY

No, this is not about the stirring anthem of the US Navy, Anchors Aweigh. It’s about the latest example of libtard lunacy designed to purposefully destroy – or in Zerospeak, “fundamentally transform” – our country.

It’s about how to solve and put an end to the Fascicrat Fraud of “birthright citizenship.” There’s a deafening roar of cacophony over it now on every TV news channel or radio talk show, and throughout conservative or libtard punditry. But only here at To The Point will you get a solution you won’t find anywhere else.

As you likely know by now, I’m no Trumpista. Loudmouth bullies turn me off, especially ones who pretend they’re conservatives. As Carly Fiorina so incisively puts it: “Since he has changed his mind on amnesty, on health care and on abortion, I would just ask, what are the principles by which he will govern?”

Yet however much I think Trump is a thin-skinned jerk posing as presidential timber for the publicity, I applaud him for making illegal immigration a cause célèbre, and using it to channel contempt upon the gutless cowards of the Republican Establishment Elite.

Another loudmouth bullying faux conservative is Fox’s Bill O’Reilly. So it was fun to see Trump and O’Reilly go at each other Tuesday night (8/18) – and I’m happy to admit I was rooting for Trump.

It was also funny to see the Daily Mail limeys in London lecture us on our Constitution regarding the Trump-O’Reilly punch-out. Typical, though, is to see the smug moonbats of Politico sneer at Trump by claiming he thinks “the 14th Amendment is unconstitutional.”

The issue causing all this heat is that of “Anchor Babies” – as when an illegal alien woman who sneaks into America to have a baby, then uses the baby’s “birthright citizenship” as an anchor to get her and her parents, uncles, nieces, and second cousins thrice removed US legal residency.

The first “must-read” here is The Fraud of Anchor Babies from TTP in April 2006.

(Note: the Citizenship Reform Act that the article mentions – authored by then Rep. Nathan Deal who is currently Governor of Georgia – was killed off by the Pub leadership. It certainly needs to be revived.)

You can see that the authors of the 14th Amendment and its Citizenship Clause would have considered anyone insane who argued it granted automatic citizenship to illegal aliens.

The latest desperate move of America-destroyers is to argue that the Supreme Court’s 1898 Wong Kim Ark decision guarantees birthright citizenship to children of illegals. However flawed this decision, it was decided that the child born in the US of legal residents of the US, albeit non-US citizens, was a citizen. Wong in no way applies to illegal aliens.

Thanks to Trump, other Pub candidates are joining his bandwagon. On Tuesday (8/18) in Phoenix, Ben Carson called for an immediate end to birthright citizenship: “It doesn’t make any sense to me that people could come in here, have a baby and that baby becomes an American citizen.”

On Monday (8/17) in Iowa, Scott Walker – quoting Harry Reid – said “absolutely” that birthright citizenship should be ended. His reference to Dirty Harry was sharp. Politifact verified that Reid sponsored the Immigration Stabilization Act of 1993 to expressly clarify, as Reid’s press release explained, “that a person born in the United States to an alien mother who is not a lawful resident is not a U.S. citizen.”

Yesterday (8/19), Ted Cruz told Michael Medved, “We should end granting automatic birthright citizenship to the children of those who are here illegally.”

Well and good, but Cruz evidently thinks a full Constitutional Amendment would be necessary to so – which is why Carly Fiorina is being portrayed in the libtard media as being for anchor babies as she thinks the amendment path is impossibly steep and take years if ever.

Carly’s right – but she and Cruz are wrong in thinking an amendment is the way to go. Trump is right – you have to challenge the Left’s Myth of Wong in the Supreme Court, as SCOTUS has never ruled that the children of illegal aliens born in the US are automatic citizens.

Yet that again will take years of adjudication. So – here’s a simple and immediate solution.

It zeroes in on something no commentator – even constitutional scholars like Mark Levin or Andy McCarthy – has. Even if – which it isn’t – the Left’s interpretation of the 14th Amendment is true, that a baby born on US soil to an illegal alien woman is automatically a US citizen, the mother remains an illegal alien who must return to the country in which she is a citizen. The baby anchors no one.

Here is the current State Department Policy of Family-Based Immigrant Visas. Note the Minimum Age Requirement: “U.S. citizens must be age 21 or older to file petitions for siblings or parents.” The illegal alien mother must wait 21 years for her baby to file a Petition for an Alien Relative Immigrant Visa.

This means that the illegal alien mother must take her US citizen baby with her back to her home country – or she can put him/her up for adoption. Either way, she’s still an illegal alien and must leave the US. She has no right to be here, much less her husband, parents, and cousins. She, and whoever she brought with her, must be deported immediately.

This is official US government policy and law right now. A president can issue an “Anchors Away” Executive Order enforcing it today. Any Pub prez candidate can vow to issue such an EO on their first day in the Oval Office.

It could but need not be retroactive. To forcefully deport entire families of anchor babies who’ve been here for years is a political bridge too far. At the very least, however, the Anchors Away EO could start being enforced from the day of its issuance going forward.

As anyone who wants to solve our immigration crisis agrees, the first thing to do is stop the flood of illegals pouring across our borders. Stop digging the hole deeper. Build a wall (Trump should say he’d hire the Israeli contractors who built the wall keeping Palestinian terrorists out of Israel). Hire a lot more Border Patrol folks with the weapons they need. Enforce our hiring laws. Etc.

What to do with the tens of millions of illegals already here is a question that cannot be answered until the flood is stopped or slowed to a trickle. Only until you stop digging the hole deeper can you figure out how to fill the hole back up.

That’s why the Anchor Baby Fraud has to be stopped. Realizing that under US law a baby anchors no one, that the mother remains an illegal requiring deportation is the solution.

Anchors Away.
