The Great Decentralization
Narrative control is the government’s most potent tool, and efforts are being made, almost in a panic mode, to restrict the movement of free information without first passing through government censorship filtration. A.I. is being compared with a nuclear weapon, and the government says that this is why A.I. technology must be immediately placed under its centralized control.
Please don’t buy it. A.I. is more like a gun. We all know the old saying that God made men and women, but Samual Colt made them equal. A.I. can potentially distribute knowledge and the ability to level up critical analysis to the average Fred and Wilma.
The argument to free A.I. is similar to the discussion to allow 3-D printers to produce personal firearms. Some things, a few things, belong under centralized control, but today’s links critique examples where freedom to speak and space to think are decentralizing.
No, there is no M.A.D. with A.I. as there is with a nuclear weapons arsenal. Current attempts by the State and lefties to throttle A.I., preventing the flow of information and culture that the state dislikes, are failing—new, unfiltered A.I. tools are becoming available, and there might even be an open-source movement on the way. This is all for freedom with talk of a digital Second Amendment prohibiting government presence on your computer. You might say that The Right of the People to Keep and Deploy Computer Models Shall Not Be Infringed.
Woke A.I. lies, and the likelihood of a society flourishing based on automated dishonesty is questionable.
It is now possible for a university student to move through a four-year undergrad program using A.I. tools to write every paper and solve every problem. It is probably a good time to invest in campus bars as student free time is increasing substantially. But what about the development of critical thinking skills?
Did the handheld calculator improve mathematics proficiency and critical thinking? Probably, it did not in the micro sense of remembering math rules, but removing the burden of calculating allowed for faster analysis.
Our old nemesis, George Soros, is investing millions into building a TikTok army to influence the 2024 election. Just as the TikTok core algorithm learns how to create images of all types of people from the millions of clips kids have made of themselves dancing and singing, the A.I. deployed by Soros will initially study interactions by his army to create bots. Billions of social media messages can be produced daily. Most of these will be ephemeral messages, meaning they will only exist briefly and then be deleted, leaving little evidence.
An F-35B operated by the Marines was lost over South Carolina when something unknown, or known but not reported, triggered the auto-eject mechanism. At this time, it appears the plane was flying along and, with almost no warning, fired the ejection seat mechanism.
The election seat uses a fly-by-wire system, not a mechanical pull lever, to actuate. It is intended to fire faster than a human pilot can go through the mental decision process.
The Marines immediately called for a worldwide standdown of many aircraft types using the same software operating system. Did a faulty sensor initialize the ejection? Buggy software? Maliciously infected software? Or a malicious electronic signal? It is wild that the F-35B failure occurred very near the Chinese spy balloon shoot-down location. I mean, what are the odds?
Of the 950 F-35 aircraft delivered so far, the fleet has about 55% mission availability and effectively zero percent full mission capability. One of the critical problems has been a lack of depot-level maintenance. When parts are removed from an aircraft, they are usually sent someplace for repair. That someplace does not yet exist.
Climate change is the gift that keeps on giving. Many global warming-biased computer models violate thermodynamic laws. It is axiomatic that energy cannot be created or destroyed, yet the models assume otherwise as they fail to balance energy inputs and outputs. While competent scientists attempt to correct the actual science, the scientism behind the push for a global centralized government continues to throw away data that contradicts the political narrative.
The feds are desperate to stop Trump and have asked the courts to gag him and prevent him from campaigning while the courts grind through his sham indictment. They use the term populism a lot, which is a neo-Marxist class-warfare term. Trump is not a populist. He is a nationalist. The globalists remain deeply threatened.
Economic conditions are worsening, and the possibility that the expectation of more significant inflation gets ahead of actual inflation. People will begin to buy now instead of saving, and the money supply will increase rapidly. However, the real, inflation-adjusted money supply will most likely lag the demand, creating the conditions known as a Crackup Boom. This happened in Weimar Germany. The feds are stomping on the brakes, but inflation is accelerating.
