A Rendezvous is an opportunity to just relax and be with our own kind, rational conservatives. There will be no zombies. It was Bob Hope who first explained the connection between zombies and Democrats in his 1940 movie, The Ghost Breakers:
The irony of the "Occupy Wall Street" moonbat leftie Dems protesting dressed as zombies is exquisitely funny. It’s a media photo op to portray capitalists as blood-suckers – when of course they are the parasites demanding the government suck the blood out of taxpayers and pumped into them for sustenance.
For anyone who suffered through the hippie left protest riots of the 1960s, this is déjà vu all over again. We’re back in the 60s just like the Dems want to be, especially the old ones who’ve never stopped being hippies. The tactics are exactly the same: protest and provoke until the police are forced to respond, then accuse them of "police brutality." Straight out of the 60s protest playbook, made easier now with cell phone cameras instantly posting pics on the Internet.
It’s all so boring, trite, obvious, and brain-dead stupid – none of which prevents the fascist enemedia from hyping it to the asteroid belt. And thus it is. For me, however, the protests of the Zombie Hippie Moonbats are far from the most important news of the week.
Nor are the announcements of Chris Christie and Sarah Palin that they are bowing out of the 2012 presidential race. No, it is what Herman Cain said in a Wall Street Journal interview yesterday (10/06). At 9½ minutes into the video, he’s asked about the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators. He first dismisses them as motivated by "anti-capitalism." Then he has this advice for them:
"Don’t blame Wall Street. Don’t blame the big banks. If you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself… When I was growing up I was blessed to have had parents who didn’t teach me to be jealous of anybody and didn’t teach me to be envious of somebody… It is not a person’s fault if they succeeded. It is a person’s fault if they failed."
TTP old-timers know for how long I have been writing about envy and envy-appeasement as the fundamental emotional fuel driving the Left. (See the compilation of Evil Eye articles clickable on the right side bar). Over and over again, I have harped on the one and only antidote to the poison of envy-appeasement, the one and only way to drain the Left’s emotional fuel gauge down to empty:
Reject envy. It turns out this is for many extremely difficult. As explained in Rejecting The Evil Eye (November 2004):
"It takes an exceptional amount of courage to not be afraid of envy. It is horribly hard for any single individual to strive his or her best while envious evil eyes are directed at him. The defining characteristic of liberals is a willingness to succumb to the envious.
Liberals are terrified of envy.
"But what are the envious terrified of? Who do those with evil eyes hate and fear the most? The person without fear of their envy. Voodoo only works when the person it’s directed at believes in it. Witch-doctors have no power over people who refuse to be afraid of them. The only power evil eyes have is the deep, irrational, superstitious fear that their envy has the magic power to do harm."
Ever since I first understood this some 40 years ago, I dreamed America would have a president who explicitly understood this and had the courage to throw the envy of the envious right back in their faces. Reagan came very close, but it was more implicit in his actions rather than overt.
Now Cain has done it. If he can stick with his blame-yourself/accept-responsibility-for-your-life message of envy rejection, and it propels him into the White House, the Left is destroyed as a political force for generations.
It is very hard to overestimate the political importance of this. Envy rejection obliterates the philosophical and psychological core of all variants of leftism. It is like Luke Skywalker targeting the key critical vulnerability that blows up the entire Death Star.
We’re now down to Perry, Romney, and Cain. The GOP Establishment wants Romney as he will keep its own K Street lobbyists pouring money into its pockets. As the Wall Street Journal exposes today (10/06), Romney is dangerously idiotic regarding Warmism. So it’s not just ABZ, Anybody But Zero, but ABR.
I like Perry and hope he does well in the 10/11 debate next Tuesday. He has come out against both ethanol subsidies and warmism – and so has Cain. In an interview with Mark Levin last June, Cain came out directly for an end to the ethanol scam, and denounced man-made global warming as "poppycock."
But with those unapologetic two words yesterday, "blame yourself," he has kicked the entire left, the Democrat Party, and President Zero right square in the stones. Actually, Cain’s rejection of their envy castrates them. Those two words of his takes their manhood away.
Haven’t you always wanted a president who will castrate the Left? We just may have him in Herman Cain.
