THE ONE NUMBER THAT CAN KEEP AMERICA INTACT
In Internalized Oppression yesterday (12/05), Joel provided a quote from Benjamin Franklin that is a quintessential expression of true Americanism:
"It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority."
The first. Not the second or third or umpteenth, like voting or paying your taxes or helping your fellow citizens in need. Questioning the reasoning of those in authority, questioning the justification for their authority, comes before anything else – for that is the only way a citizenry can preserve its liberty and avoid subservience to the State.
And individual liberty, not just collective. It is the obligation to think for yourself , to use your best rational judgment, that is the only guarantee you can preserve your mind, your integrity, and your freedom.
There is a famous scene (at least famous for every Trekkie) in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (the 1989 movie, not a TV series episode) that Ben Franklin would have loved. Every American today needs to watch it. Spock, Bones, and Captain Kirk have beamed down to a planet at the center of the universe, led by a Vulcan named Sybok who convinces them that here they will meet God Himself.
They are overwhelmed with God’s presence, Who, upon being told the Starship Enterprise was able to get through the Impenetrable Barrier to reach the planet, asks that it be brought to Him.
Everyone eagerly agrees – except for Kirk (William Shatner), who impertinently interrupts God to ask, "Excuse me… but what does God need with a Starship?" Bones explodes at him: "Jim, what are you doing!?" Kirk looks at Bones quizzically and answers simply, "I’m asking a question."
Kirk’s question and God’s attacking him instead of answering it exposes "God" as an evil alien pretending to be God – the alien is not God at all.
Today, America is ruled by an evil Alien with a God-complex. He is worshipped as such by a Witch Doctor Media, and millions of Americans lacking the courage to question their ruler’s authority for fear that this may halt the various bribes he dispenses to them.
Millions of other Americans, however, do possess this courage and despise both The Alien for pretending he is a god, and those who worship him. Thus we have Two Americas – and they are going to go their separate ways unless we find some rational way to keep them together.
The irrational way is at the point of a gun. Government guns forcing people to do as The Alien orders them. Violent armed rebellion in response. A Second Civil War, with the rebels demonized and criminalized as were the ones in the First.
I hate the Civil War. Thousands of books have been written about it and I refuse to read a single one. The thought of Americans killing Americans, maniacally slaughtering and butchering each other by the hundreds of thousands, makes me sick. It would have been easy for Lincoln to avoid it.
Either he could have used the 5th Amendment to seize black slaves as condemned government property, paid their owners just compensation, then granted slaves their freedom – or he could have recognized the freedom of the Confederate States and worked out a win-win cooperation between their government and his. But no – he chose war, turning America into a charnel house of death and hate.
We are racing towards a War Between the Two Americas as it is. All it needs is a spark, and that’s going to be lit soon: economic collapse. Jack Kelly explained today that we’re facing not one, but two "fiscal cliffs." We’re going over the falls twice.
To paraphrase Fred Astaire’s singing to Leslie Caron (Daddy Long Legs, 1955), when an irresistible force – such as economic reality – meets an immovable object – such as politicians addicted to power and moochers addicted to subsidies – "Something’s gotta give." What’s going to give is the American economy.
As a whole – but not everywhere. I strongly suggest you carefully peruse Joel Kotkin’s The Rise of the Third Coast up on TTP today. It’s longish but worth your close attention. The Third Coast is Texas to Tampa – a region that’s booming because "a lot of regulations have been moved aside, and there’s a big push by the state to get out of the way."
The greatest threat to the region "comes from Washington… a second term Obama administration… (and) Federal regulators."
The Third Coast is Deep Red State America – and if The Alien insists on stifling it as Blue State America sinks into an economic abyss, the burgeoning secessionist movement within it will erupt. And outside of it. The Third Coast states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida (or much of it) would be quickly joined by other Southern states such as Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, and West Virginia.
And it wouldn’t be confined to the South. A line of states from Texas to the Canadian border would join: Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, and South & North Dakota. Add Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah. Possibly Indiana, Kentucky, and a number of others. Secessionist America would be a lot bigger than the Confederate South, and it would split America asunder with the Eastern and Left Coast remainders having no contiguity.
The Alien will force this to happen. He is a Marxist who hates our country and our most basic American values of political and economic liberty. He is not an American in his soul. He was fraudulently elected to a second term (e.g., at least 407,000 stolen votes in Florida, Virginia, Ohio and Colorado alone), which make his second term illegitimate.
The economic collapse he’ll precipitate to achieve his goal of a Fascist America ruled by him as a modern-day Mussolini will result in Secessionist America – unless one number comes to the rescue.
That number is ten. The only thing that can keep America intact now is the 10th Amendment. The only path to preserving the Union peacefully is for nascently secessionist states to assert their 10th Amendment rights under the Constitution and demand the Federalies restrict their activities to those enumerated by the Constitution.
One obvious place to start is with Zerocare, as Oklahoma is doing. The Tenth Amendment Center enumerates the ways Zerocare is unconstitutional – despite Chief Justice Roberts’ cowardly and treasonously ruling otherwise. Organizations like the Tenth Amendment Center and the Tenth Amendment Foundation are providing guidelines and strategies on how best to curb unconstitutional Federalie Fascism across the board, not just with Zerocare.
We obsess on Washington, on The Alien in the White House and the Pub Wimps on Capitol Hill. It’s time to refocus our attention where the action will be – in the States. 24 states will be fully Pub-controlled come this January: Pub Gov and Legislatures. Here’s the map:
Nebraska’s legislature is officially "non-partisan," but it’s pure red. Purple means split control. The bottom line for you: unless you are in a state that’s evolving blue-to-red like West Virginia, if you live in a Blue State – get out. When the collapse comes, the Blues are screwed. The Reds are the only ones with any hope of weathering The Alien’s storm. Particularly consider the Third Coast.
Further, it is only in the Reds that you can work to accomplish something substantive – like persuading your local pols to advocate 10th Amendment rights for your state. The only thing that’s going to save America now are the States – certainly not anything in Washington. And the only thing that’s going to save the States, red ones in particular, is the 10th Amendment.
The 10th is the constitutional mechanism for preserving our liberty. There’s not much else left now, with The Alien and his Federalie Goons paying no attention to the Constitution whatever any more. The 10th is the mechanism by which we deny consent to federal fascism.
The choice is between a peaceful return of powers unconstitutionally usurped by the federal government to the states via the 10th, or secession of flourishing states from a national government determined to sacrifice them to the beggar states – at the clear risk of being suppressed with murderous violence.
The 10th is the one number that can keep America intact and peacefully so. We really don’t want the alternative. Turn your eyes away from DC and towards your state’s capital – that of the Red State you already live in, or soon should be.
