Sorry to open with a bummer, but it’s unavoidable. For the whole year of 2022 has been one obscene bummer after another, and this is just the last ludicrous straw.
Note what’s carrying the insane $1.7 trillion 4,000-page Omnifarce – the GOP elephant that’s responsible for it. 21 GOP senators voted for it (3 by not voting). And in doing so, by locking in federal spending through next September, they prevented themselves by having any control over spending when the House take spending over 11 days from now.
That’s suicidally stupid, especially when considering the thousands of goodies for lobbyists and woke causes.
At least Speaker-to-be McCarthy has pledged to block any bill sponsored by any of the 16 GOP Senators who’ll be returning to office. One of them is Tom Cotton. Could he at least try to make up for this by leading the charge to dump McConnell as Minority Leader?
Late today (12/23) the House passed with 9 Rinos voting for it. Speaker-to-be McCarthy denounced the vote as “a monstrosity.” Chip Roy of Texas noted that 226 absentee proxy votes were cast, meaning the House lacked a physical quorum as required by the Constitution.
Can we have a lawsuit demanding SCOTUS declare the vote void?

At a time when countless Americans can’t buy Christmas gifts, or must choose between paying for food or for heat during freezing cold because of inflation, this $1.7 trillion will accelerate the inflation freight train bearing down upon us. But not just by the deficit spending by itself.
Jerome Powell at the Fed is a very smart and savvy guy who knows investment markets extremely well. He also fully understands how life-and-death important it is for the US dollar to remain the world’s international currency. So this $1.7 trillion forces the Fed to raise interest rates higher and longer than otherwise, which will increase the coming recession.
For higher rates to tame inflation only works if at the least there’s no increase in the money supply, which of course the Omnifarce does. Powell now has to raise rates higher than he would otherwise. He may also refuse to keep monetizing the debt by not buying any more T bills, which alone accounted for almost 27% increase in the money supply.
This is why the Fed now owns over 26% of US federal debt:
But most likely he’ll have the fed “taper” or slow down the rate of buying Treasury Securities. Like when Congress “cuts spending,” it means only the projected increase in an agency’s next FY budget is reduced. Just about never is any agency forced to spend less than in the previous year.
So it looks like we’re trapped in Inflation City for at least one and most likely two years, unless the House GOP acquires the testicular fortitude to actually start actually cutting federal spending.
How’s this for a start? The instant next September at the expiration of Omnifarce spending, the GOP majority refuses to authorize any expenditure to publish the Federal Register – in print, online, in any manner – which for any new regulation issued by any federal agency must be for it to become administrative law.
Only notices of withdrawal of regulations could there be an expenditure to publish. Talk about stopping the Deep State in its tracks toward evermore control of our lives.
This would easily be approved by SCOTUS. Both Thomas and Gorsuch are on record as solidly affirming the Constitution gives the Executive Branch any authority whatever to make laws, that’s usurping the Legislative Branch – much less be judge and jury over the enforcement and punishment over infractions thereof, that’s usurping the Judicial Branch as well.

Now if the House GOP was serious, they’d also refuse to pass a budget for the FBI. Our unconstitutional national police (just where in the Constitution is there an enumerated power for this?) has become a criminally treasonous mafia for the Democrats.

The greatest tragedy America faces today, so excruciatingly poignant at Christmas time, is that Christianity has been replaced by Global Warming/Climate Change as the religion of so many millions – from Leftist elites who see Warmism as the replacement of Marxism as the rationale for Big Brother tyranny, to scam scientists whoring after government grants, to Gen Z morons, and vast numbers of 100 IQ average folks who have to have something to be paranoid about.
So with Christmas Eve nigh, it’s appropriate for me to suggest to read what I wrote in TTP back in December, 2006:
Global Warming and Original Sin.
“The vast majority of global warming fanatics are from Western cultures. Not a lot of Chinese or Hindus or Moslems are in a tizzy about it. These fanatics are almost all ex-Christians, born and raised in a Christian culture which they grew up to reject.
Yet what they didn’t reject and still retain is a belief in Original Sin, that human beings by their nature are deserving of divine punishment.
What happens when you believe in Original Sin yet reject Christianity’s salvation from it? The politically correct option of the moment is to believe in global warming.
You transform Man sinning against God into Man sinning against the Earth. It’s a primitive form of animism, that the earth itself is alive and a supernatural being, the “Gaia” Earth Goddess…
One solution to the lunacy is to organize a Christian missionary movement to evangelize global warming scientists and advocates. Bringing them to Christ could heal their souls – and save us from them.”

Since then, the thesis that it’s the Sun, not us, that’s responsible for global “climate change” has been enormously strengthened by the research of astrophysicist Professor Valentina Zharkova of Northumbria University in the UK. Her research of the causes of cycles of solar activity shows the Sun has a “dual dynamo” mechanism coupled with a “quadrupole” magnetic component resulting in three solar cycles:
*The standard magnetic cycle = ~22 yrs (the full 11 year cycle from high to low, then 11 years low back to high)
*The Gleissberg cycle = ~90-110 yrs, avg. 100 yrs
*The ‘Grand’ cycle = ~350-400 yrs
Moreover, we are now at the minimum of all three, particularly the Grand, which she predicts will last from ~2020 to ~2053 (this is the approximate length of the Grand’s minimum out of the 400 years for the full cycle). Meaning we have entered a three decade-long period of Global Cooling, the opposite of Warming.
She explains this in her paper: Modern Grand Solar Minimum Will Lead To Terrestrial Cooling.
This is a science paper published in PubMed Central, but she explains clearly why and how we are headed for another Maunder Minimum (1645-1710) during which the Thames River in London and the Po River in northern Italy froze regularly, and all of Europe and North America went into a deep freeze.
What could we do about it? We could put a lot more CO2 in the air to begin with. I hope Skye in the Forum will suggest other solutions.
Meanwhile – it should be of some solace to those millions of Americans shivering in the cold and dark that at least it’s Mother Nature causing their suffering, and not some depraved evil monster shelling with artillery their electricity grid.
Perhaps at this point we should note the irony that Dr. Zharkova is Ukrainian, graduating from Kiev National University and gaining her Ph.D. in Astrophysics at the Main Astronomical Observatory in Kiev.

As of yesterday, over 100,000 Russian soldiers have died in the dirt of Ukraine. Many just left to rot, as this drone footage from today (12/23) shows.
Last night as you know, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine met Biden in the White House and addressed a Joint Session of Congress in the Capitol. It was the first time a war time leader has addressed a Joint Session since Winston Churchill did so on December 26, 1941.
Zelensky was dressed appropriately representing his country at war with a barbarous evil enemy – as was Churchill:
Zelensky delivered a speech that many called Churchillian, while Twitter exploded in praise. The full text is here. Read and decide for yourself. Just one excerpt:
“Russians will stand a chance to be free only when they defeat the Kremlin in their minds. Yet, the battle continues, and we have to defeat the Kremlin on the battlefield.
Yes, this battle is not only for the territory, for this or another part of Europe. This struggle will define in what world our children and grandchildren will live, and then their children and grandchildren.

You can watch the full speech below. If you can watch only the first few minutes, you’ll see what moved me to tears – the entire Congress repeatedly standing up with cheers and applause for the most admired hero of our world today, and for the cause he champions: freedom over tyranny, victory over inhuman butchery, triumph of the morally good over depraved moral evil.
Yet the tears were mixed with happiness and sadness. Why can’t these people of Congress cheer and applaud and work together for the freedom of America, for the protection of America from foreign invasion as they are for Ukraine?
I am grateful, as all advocates of freedom from tyranny must be, for Congress’ support that is enabling the Ukrainian people to defeat the evil of Putin’s Russia. But why can’t it jointly, bipartisanly, support freedom for the American people as well?
