Wow, is it ever!  What a time to be alive!  We have so much to celebrate this Thanksgiving of 2024, and so much during this week, a bonanza of good news – and funny news from the Schadenfreude News Desk as well.  Get ready for a rock and roll HFR!  Can’t resist starting with the NY Post Thanksgiving Day cover:

Trump Could Slash Deficit $1.4T By Reversing These Biden Executive Actions On Day One: Report is the story, mostly by T47 Executive Orders immediately reversing a host of Biden’s, which only require a stroke of the presidential pen, no approval from Congress required. The caveat is, it’s not clear how much of that $1.4T comes out of current spending this fiscal year rather than over the next several years.

Anyhoo, it’s a start. Those T47 EOs will be on the Resolute Desk awaiting his signature the instant he walks into the Oval Office on Jan20.  Elon & Vivek will be presenting him with a plethora of others, along with Russ Vought at OMB and RFK2 at HHS.  Not to mention Border Czar Tom Homan will be making sure illegals don’t get a dime of the freebies they’ve been getting from Uncle Sucker or Blue State governors and mayors.

They’ll start self-deporting en masse. Three months after January 20, this will be a very different country, vastly for the better. April 20, Easter Sunday will be hailed as America’s Resurrection Day (in addition to why Easter is hailed in the first place of course).

When these three eminent medical school professors (left to right), Martin Kulldorff MD at Harvard, Sunetra Gupta PhD at Oxford, Jay Bhattacharya MD PhD at Stanford, wrote the Great Barrington Declaration on October 4, 2020, declaring that Covid Lockdowns would lead to vastly more deaths than targeting those most vulnerable (such as the very elderly and those with serious co-morbidities), it gained 940,000 signatures from scientists and medical professionals from around the world – yet it was fanatically condemned, ostracized and banned everywhere.

Needless to say, they were proven right – but not until countless lives were lost, fascist tyranny ran amok, and the entire world economy was ravaged needlessly.

The person who launched their demonization was Francis Collins, Obama-appointed Director of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), working in league with Anthony Fauci, Director of the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). We’ll arm Ukraine enough to blow your oil refineries, power transformers, and military depots to flaming dust – and your super hypersonic missile is a one-off that missed its target and caused little damage (we’ve got the sat photos), you can’t/don’t know how to make many more. So get the hell out of Ukraine, we’ll pause Ukraine getting into NATO, no more sanctions mean you can start growing your economy again. We’ll even help you. Sign here please.

One highlight:  “America First” has nothing to do with isolationism, and includes the belief that backing Ukraine is a “vital national interest” of the US, because “you’re taking a strategic adversary, Russia, off the stage” so we can pivot focusing on China.

Why so sad, John? Because you gave a speech at the UN Climate Change Conference and nobody paid attention? John Kerry: We Need To ‘Declare A Climate Emergency’ And ‘Get People To Behave’.  Perhaps it’s that, just like with every other woke fascisti lunacy, it’s all in the rear view mirror now receding fast.

That UN conference (COP29) was jokingly in Baku, Azerbaijan, a country that depends on oil & gas fossil fuel production for its existence.  As the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, declared to the audience, “oil and gas are a gift from God.”

 

Meanwhile, in Prague, Czechia, there was a conference of real climate scientists, the Climate Intelligence Group (CLINTEL). Their communique on what was concluded has 18 resolutions.  Here are the first six (all 18 in the link):

1. The modest increase in the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide that has taken place since the end of the Little Ice Age has been net-beneficial to humanity.

2. Foreseeable future increases in greenhouse gases in the air will probably also prove net-beneficial.

3. The rate and amplitude of global warming have been and will continue to be appreciably less than climate scientists have long predicted.

4. The Sun, and not greenhouse gases, has contributed and will continue to contribute the overwhelming majority of global temperature.

5. Geological evidence compellingly suggests that the rate and amplitude of global warming during the industrial era are neither unprecedented nor unusual.

6. Climate models are inherently incapable of telling us anything about how much global warming there will be or about whether or to what extent the warming has a natural or anthropogenic cause.

It ends with this declaration:

“Therefore, this conference hereby declares and affirms that the imagined and imaginary ‘climate emergency’ is at an end.

This conference calls upon the entire scientific community to cease and desist from its persecution of scientists and researchers who disagree with the current official narrative on climate change and instead to encourage once again the long and noble tradition of free, open and uncensored scientific research, investigation, publication and discussion.”

This, after Ford, Harley-Davidson, Boeing and so many others.  Corporate America has seen the light.  Just as has Mark Zuckerberg, who came to pay obeisance to T47 at Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday (11/26).

 

As the Telegraph reports: Mark Zuckerberg Can See That The DEI Game Is Up — The Meta head’s meeting with Donald Trump exposed how skin deep Corporate America’s liberalism really is.

“Trump’s victory confirms the demise of the whole woke, DEI agenda. He stormed to victory off the back of a historically diverse Right-wing coalition that readily embraced his message that meritocracy again had to take precedence over quotas and identity politics. Corporate America is fast beginning to see that unconscious bias training, pronouns, social justice programmes and the rest are well-past their sell-by date.

But there is also genuine enthusiasm for Trump’s economic agenda at the commanding heights of America’s big corporations.  Prepare to see more and more business leaders come out to back the president-elect’s drive to re-boot the competitiveness of the American economy, and to defend US enterprises against the anti-tech drive of the European Union. In Trump’s first term, he was often at war with the tech industry, and especially the social media barons. In his second term, they may all be on the same team. “
