HALF-FULL REPORT 10/21/22

Alright… let’s crank those speakers to the max, for it’s Beatles time. Park yourself in your easy chair, relax, and listen to Getting Better.

One of the favorites from their 1967 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album, Getting Better is the theme of this week’s HFR… at last.

We’ve got 18 days to go before America’s Do or Die Day of Nov 8 – and while there still may be many a slip ‘twixt cup and lip, it’s looking good for the good guys, while those on the Dark Side of the Force are sliding into ever deeper gloom.  Yes, for every day this week, it’s getting better all the time.

3-beggars

Three Beggars

For starters, let’s take a stroll through Schadenfreude City.  This was the lead headline on Fox early this morning (10/21):

Pelosi, Hoyer Plead For House Dems To Pony Up Cash To Counter GOP Fundraising Juggernaut.  Pretty late in the day to be passing around the Beggar Bowl, isn’t it, Nance?

While just about every poll there is – including the NYTimes – sees a rapid and increasing shift from D to R, Pelosi Galore continues to live in an alternate reality.  Tuesday (10/18): Pelosi Insists Crime, Inflation Not Big Midterm Issues — But Abortion Is.

Yesterday (10/20), David Keene explained The Democrats’ Bad Bet on Abortion:

“Democrat candidates who focused almost exclusively on abortion as their salvation this fall made a bad bet. They found themselves cornered running in a year when their party’s president’s negatives are a real problem and the public was blaming Democrats for inflation and crime.

Then came Dobbs v. Jackson overruling Roe v. Wade in June. Democrats from President Biden on down were convinced that the Supreme Court had handed them just what they needed. Focusing on abortion would turn out suburban women in record numbers to save the day. It hasn’t happened.”

The apotheosis of this delusion was delivered by the Dems’ most grotesquely repulsive candidate: Stacey Abrams Suggests Having An Abortion As Solution To Inflation.

Or as the Babylon Bee covered the story:  Stacey Abrams Spotted At The Grocery Store Reminding Parents Food Would Be Cheaper If They Aborted Their Kids.

If you’ve ever wondered why Dems are so clueless about inflation:

But as Joe Louis said about his opponents in the ring:  “They can run but they can’t hide.”

So – 18 days can be an eternity in political time but as of right now, October 21, this sums up the bottom line:

Democrats Are Failing Across The Board — All Signs Point To A Red Wave On Election Day.  That’s from USA Today, which lists the reasons why:

*Biden is irretrievably unpopular.

*Inflation and Crime are both out of control.

*Economics and Safety trump abortion.

Another reason which seems obvious to us but eludes USA Today is that a large majority of voters are 100% fed up with woke cultural insanity.

Thus the question of the moment is: How Big Will The Red Wave Be?

Nazaré, Portugal big?

Elections are like that too: “Very mysterious… you never know what you’re going to get out there.”

Still, when Oregon May Elect Its First GOP Governor In 35 Years, and the New York Governor’s Race Is Now A Toss-Up instead of a Dem slam dunk, predictions that Dems from coast-to-coast are going to be swept out to sea are far from fanciful.

Of our 50 state governors, 28 are GOP, 22 are Dem, with 20 R/16 D up for election.  Odds are high that R’s will have a net gain of at least 3, such as Scott Jensen-MN, Tim Michaels-WI, and Tudor Dixon-MI.  Could easily be more.

The Senate is now ridiculously tied at 50-50.  Every election year roughly one-third of the seats are up but the R/D ratio shifts around – with this year badly favoring Dems.  Of the 35 seats up, 20 are R, only 14 D.  Nonetheless, the GOP is highly favored to gain at least 3 and possibly 5 – such as Laxalt-NV, Herschel Walker-GA, Vance-OH, Masters-AZ, Oz-PA.

The House is now 220D/212R with 3 vacancies.  This is where the size of the Red Wave will be determined.  It could be anywhere from a net gain low of 20 to Nazaré proportions of 80.  A gain of 40 to 50 seats is certainly achievable.

In all three, House, Senate, Governor, the magnitude of the wave at this point washes over the capacity of Dems to cheat.  Further and quite frankly, the Dems know they are in the voters’ gunsights. They know they’re going to lose very badly and have lost the fire in the belly to cheat what it takes.  That’s the real bottom line right now.

Now, it’s Fun Time!!

This will bring a smile to your face.  Yesterday (10/20): Musk Planning To Fire 75% Of Twitter Staff.  All those conservative-banning censor-fascisti will be tossed out into the street. Makes your heart sing.

In response to the growing rebellion among younger House Dems that octogenarian Nancy be replaced, we learn:

Pelosi Dismisses Call For New Democrat Leadership: “There’s No Substitute For Experience.”

To which the story’s editor appended the sub-title: This quote brought to you by vodka™.

Ok, please be sitting down, put down any coffee or other liquid, and try to control yourself.  On Wednesday (10/19), a group of eco-morons calling themselves ScientistRebel occupied the Porche pavillion adjacent to the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg, Germany:

“Together with 15 other members of @ScientistRebel1 I have occupied the Porsche pavillion at @Autostadt, 9 of us glued to the floor and some of us on hunger strike until our demands to decarbonize the German transport sector are met👉 https://t.co/Y5uo5IicXb @ClimateHuman pic.twitter.com/SUxUy5Q5uq

— gianluca grimalda (@GGrimalda) October 19, 2022

The Volkswagen management, instead of calling the police, had everyone in the pavilion except the climate protestors exit the building, then closed and locked the doors, turned off the lights, heat, and air, and left the folks glued to the floor alone in the dark.

It was then that it dawned on the eco-morons – how were they to go to the bathroom being glued to the floor?  This made them just oh-so-mad, bitterly complaining:

.@VW told us that they supported our right to protest, but they refused our request to provide us with a bowl to urinate and defecate in a decent manner while we are glued, and have turned off the heating. People in support can’t get out of the building. 2/ pic.twitter.com/YZuuiww5Q4

Poor wittle eco-morons soiling themselves all night – until the police finally had to cart them away suffused in their filth.  Today they are the biggest joke in Germany.

Folks, it’s running late and I am running out of gas.  After two weeks in Ireland, three weeks in Central Asia, and just home after 10 days in Portugal, I’ve got to stop here.  I’m tired to exhaustion but now genuinely optimistic that the mid-terms are going to shatter Democrat control of Capitol Hill.

Yes, it will only be the end of the beginning, but the results of Nov 8 are going to trigger an unstoppable demand to rid our country of Woke Insanity, of such things as tranny-worship, men ruining women’s sports, CRT education, on and on and woke on.  All we want is our country and its culture to be normal again.

That and border governors call out their state’s National Guard to force illegal aliens back across the border at gunpoint if necessary.

In two short years, the Democrats have destroyed so much – and the ruination of their inflationary economy will continue. These next two years will not be easy – but after Nov 8, they will be far far easier than what we have now.  Hold on to that. After Nov 8, the task of Making America America Again will start.

In the meantime, how about another Beatles song to make us feel good?  Sing along, dance, and be happy.  For we do have a lot to be happy about.
