HALF-FULL REPORT 07/13/18
Welcome to the Friday the 13th HFR. It’s a good day for Democrats to be Friggatriskaidekaphobics. Strzok the Smirking Schmuck is now the face of the Democrat Deep State attempting a coup to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States.
In the hearing yesterday (7/12), Democrats completely disgraced themselves. Constantly interrupting and being obnoxious as possible, talking about “separated children,” student debt, even Puerto Rico, they defended Strzok’s treason repeatedly, with one of them – Demtard Steve Cohen – stating that Strzok deserved a Purple Heart for enduring the hearing.
At the end of the hearing, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte told Strzok he will be held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to answer legitimate questions.
Once Goodlatte does, expect to hear a lot about something called “Inherent Contempt.” It hasn’t been used since 1934, but there will be a clamor to use it now.
On Wednesday (7/11), Strzok’s partner in crime Lisa Page defied a Congressional subpoena to testify. In response, GOP Rep.Lee Zeldin tweeted:
Congress, you see, has the power to imprison someone for Contempt of Congress. That should have been the fate of Zero’s IRS Commissioner Lois Lerner and Attorney General Eric Holder, but Congress didn’t have the guts. Now maybe it does.
In a research paper last year (May 2017), Congress’s Contempt Power and the Enforcement of Congressional Subpoenas:
Law, History, Practice, and Procedure, the Congressional Research Service explained the authority of Inherent Contempt:
“The validity of the inherent contempt power was upheld in the early Supreme Court decision in Anderson v. Dunn
and reiterated in McGrain v. Daugherty. Under the inherent contempt power the individual is brought before the
House or Senate by the Sergeant-at-Arms, tried at the bar of the body, and can be imprisoned or detained in the Capitol or perhaps elsewhere [such as the nearest jail of the DC Metro Police].”
This is a power of either the House or Senate by simple majority vote. Ryan supports Goodlatte’s committee with its Pub majority holding Strzok in Contempt. Speaker Ryan can then order Strzok to be arrested and brought in handcuffs to the House chamber by the Sergeant-at-Arms to be tried for Contempt.
If a simple majority of House Members (current: 236R/193D) finds him guilty, he can be imprisoned in a DC Metro cell to compel his testimony until January 3, 2019 when the 115th Congress ends.
Of course, if Sessions had the cojones, he’d have Strzok, Page, and all their co-conspirators tried for treason. Fat chance.
Now let’s go to what used to be Merrie Olde England and its capital Londonistan.
Yesterday morning (7/12), the President’s day started with breakfast in Belgium with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. TTP’s Jack Kelly this morning (7/13) revealed how looney ludicrous was the reaction of Deep Staters and Obamunists to his statements: Trump Is Normal – Swamp Things Are Not.
Kelly has the video, here is the White House transcript of POTUS’ remarks. Watch, read, enjoy. Trump calmly and quietly tore Merkel’s Germany to pieces:
“I think it’s very sad when Germany makes a massive oil and gas deal with Russia, where you’re supposed to be guarding against Russia… the former Chancellor of Germany [Gerhard Schroeder] is the head of the pipeline company that’s supplying the gas. Ultimately, Germany will have almost 70 percent of their country controlled by Russia with natural gas.
So you tell me, is that appropriate? …Germany is totally controlled by Russia, because they will be getting from 60 to 70 percent of their energy from Russia and a new pipeline… On top of that, Germany is just paying a little bit over 1 percent, whereas the United States, in actual numbers, is paying 4.2 percent of a much larger GDP. So I think that’s inappropriate also…. Germany is a rich country. They talk about they’re going to increase it a tiny bit by 2030. Well, they could increase it immediately tomorrow and have no problem.
I don’t think it’s fair to the United States. So we’re going to have to do something because we’re not going to put up with it. We can’t put up with it. And it’s inappropriate.”
Ever hear of that campy movie Sharknado? By the time his NATO visit was over, POTUS was dubbed Trumpnato!
The President and First Lady then flew to England where last night they had a black-tie state dinner hosted by Prime Minister Theresa May at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, ancestral home of Winston Churchill. What got the British Press’ attention was not the President, however, but how stunningly gorgeous and regal the First Lady looked, hailing her as “American Royalty.”
What got a lot of Americans’ attention was the wonderful look of love the President had for his wife.
This morning (7/13), Prime Minister May woke up to British tabloid The Sun’s explosive cover story: Exclusive Interview with President Trump.
Whoa, Nellie. In it, he criticized May’s “Soft Brexit” plan in which the UK would still be a part of the EU, making her goal of a US-UK Free Trade Deal impossible: “If they do a deal like that, we would be dealing with the European Union instead of dealing with the UK, so it will probably kill the deal.”
He stated that the EU’s allowing mass migration from the Middle East and Africa is destroying European culture, that “unless you act very quickly, it’s never going to be what it was and I don’t mean that in a positive way.”
He specifically condemned Londonistan’s Moslem Mayor Sadiq Khan: “I think allowing millions and millions of people to come into Europe is very, very sad. I look at cities in Europe, and I can be specific if you’d like. You have a mayor who has done a terrible job in London. He has done a terrible job.”
In response to the Britard meltdown by looney limeys in the leftie press, Piers Morgan in the Daily Mail stoutly defended the President for telling truths “people don’t want to hear.”
But now for a warning. Do not be drinking anything as you watch how The Donald handled the ever-obnoxious Jim Acosta of CNN during the Chequers press conference today:
Then America’s First Couple were off to Windsor Castle to meet the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II has met every US President since Harry Truman (save for the loathsome LBJ). The meeting went very well – infinitely better than when she met the Obamas and Mrs. Zero put her arm around her. “I never ever want to meet that woman again,” pronounced the Queen. And she never did.
Now POTUS and FLOTUS are off to Scotland for a weekend of golf and relaxation (the President own two courses, Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire and Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire) – and will avoid meeting Scotland’s wacko leftie First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, whom he despises. She’ll be busy leading a Gay Pride Parade in Glasgow anyway.
So we leave what was Merrie Olde England in days of yore. Trump sure has a point about its future. Here’s one reason many think it’s doomed:
Okay, back to the USA. And speaking of Pride events, let’s first head to Dixon, California where Vice-Mayor Ted Hickman has declared July to be Straight Pride American Month (SPAM):
It’s all in good normie fun, but as we know, Lefties have no sense of humor. So of course there are protests and demands he resign. Hang in there Ted! And while you’re at it, be sure and get one of our TTP “It’s OK” T-shirts:
Next, let’s venture to Laramie, Wyoming, where some goofball leftie professor (pardon the redundancy) at the University of Wyoming is protesting the school’s mascot – Cowboys – and the school’s slogan – “The World Needs More Cowboys” – as “promoting white heterosexual masculinity.”
Well, let’s hope so! There is nothing more this world needs right now than more white heterosexual masculinity.
Thank heavens, yesterday (7/13), University President Laurie Nichols rejected the protest. At last, a university president with moxie.
On to the other major story of the week, the nomination and soon-to-be confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanuagh as Justice to the Supreme Court. Skye on the Forum summed up why this is a ten-strike:
“Both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are better than Scalia because Scalia was unwilling to overturn Chevron deference, whereas both have published extensively as to why it is unconstitutional. Chevron deference comes from this decision:
Until Chevron is overturned, only SCOTUS is free to overturn administrative state bureaucratic regulatory decisions, and SCOTUS accepts less than 100 cases per year. Overturning Chevron is essential to draining the swamp.”
Kavanaugh is the guy for the job. Especially with his record of persuading with careful reasoned argument his fellow judges to his views. Bloomberg notes:
“As a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Kavanaugh has signaled his willingness to limit the so-called “Chevron doctrine.” The Obama administration relied heavily on that 34-year-old principle, which gives federal agencies latitude to regulate when Congress has been ambiguous, using it to justify mandates on energy, the environment and the workplace.
“Kavanaugh also could pose a threat to another legal doctrine known as “Auer deference,” which holds that agencies are in the best position to interpret their own rules. Under Auer, agencies’ interpretations of their own rules should stand unless they are plainly erroneous or inconsistent with the regulation.”
Legal experts consulted by Bloomberg predict that with Kavanaugh joining Gorsuch on the Court, Auer and Chevron will be “eliminated in the next year or two.”
Speaking of gutting unconstitutional law, have a gander at an Executive Order signed by the President on Tuesday (7/09) in response to the June 21 SCOTUS ruling on Lucia v. SEC.
Gotta love the head fake of the EO’s title: Safeguarding the Efficiency of Administrative Courts. How about safeguarding their abolishment as they are utterly immoral – with an agency being police, prosecutor, and judge rolled into one with no jury trial – and unconstitutional.
Here’s the EO’s money quote: “The logic of Lucia casts doubt on the validity of many – if not all – ALJ appointments within the Federal Government.” All 2,000 on these ersatz little dictators pretending to be real judges. That’s being gutted.
And in the Be Careful What You Ask For Department, last week the Greenie Fascisti were whooping it up waving Scott Pruitt’s scalp around, who resigned as head of the EPA. Now it turns out his replacement, Andrew Wheeler (no relation) will be a far greater nightmare to Greenies than Pruitt. So reported Reuters on Wednesday (7/11).
To get an idea of how fascist the EPA under Zero became, nearly 4,000 EPA regulations were issued in the eight years he infested the Oval Office. The search is on at the new EPA for the rationale to wipe them out en masse.
In the More Winning Department, on Saturday (7/07) the Trump Administration announced further gutting of Obamacare by withholding billions to insurance companies in “risk-adjustment” scams. Note the link is to the story reported by the Commie New York Daily News. Their undies are in a wad. How nice.
Speaking of leftie undies in a wad, there’s no more Commie-Left union in the country than SEIU, Service Employees International Union. On Tuesday (7/10), the Daily Caller happily reported: Trump Is Cutting Off Big Labor From Skimming Americans’ Medicaid Payments And Unions Are Furious.
But there’s even better news. The June 27 SCOTUS Janus v. Association of Federal, State, City, and Municipal Employees (FSCME) could bankrupt government or “public worker” unions.
Union members, such as a number of California teachers, are filing class action suits demanding their union pay them back all the dues they paid for years now deemed unconstitutional. That’s a lot of money, more than the unions have. The Dems’ union cash cow is dead now. Janus might also knock off the public unions themselves.
The HFR glass seems really full this week, but there’s also a big ugly fly swimming in it. The fly’s name is Rod Rosenstein.
On Wednesday (7/11), the New York Times reported that the Deputy Attorney General ordered all 93 US attorneys to provide three federal prosecutors each – 279 total – to “review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh.” I.e., dig up dirt to destroy Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Even the NYT said this is a “troubling precedent,” quoting Christopher Hunter, a former F.B.I. agent and federal prosecutor: “It’s flat-out wrong to have career federal prosecutors engaged in a political process like the vetting of a Supreme Court nominee.”
More than wrong, it’s treasonous, exposing Rosenstein as part of the Deep State cabal dedicated to overthrowing our government. When will Jeff Sessions prove he’s not the gutless wonder we think he is, and rid us of Rosenstein the Swamp Creature?
Especially with the pathetically political ploy of releasing junk indictments today (7/13) of 12 Russians just before the President meets Putin on Monday (7/16). The express purpose is to ruin the meeting. Treason again.
Sundance asks the pertinent question exposing this charade:
“The entire indictment (full pdf ) is based on the premise of the FBI conducting some unexplained and unsubstantiated form of forensic data-analysis to formulate their detailed conclusions.
However, can anyone explain how this FBI forensic data-analysis was possible when the FBI was never allowed access to the DCCC, DNC and Clinton Campaign servers?”
Both the FBI and DOJ are mortally wounded. America no longer has a legitimate Justice Department.
Sorry to end on a sour note, but it is Friday the 13th. You can get your mind off it by watching an Antifa soy-boy getting knocked out cold by a grown man black Trumper with a MAGA hat. You can watch this over and over.
And remember what’s happening before our eyes. Remember that the POTUS is…
